... cynical as I can be about Hollywooden, I have been running my mental casting-engine. Clooney would be a not-half-bad John Nike; but as a Soderbergh project, you know Jennifer would end up being played by Julia Roberts (which would be terribly, terribly sad).

And you know Topher Grace would have to show up somewhere. Hopefully at the Pepsi Rep, and not Billy NRA...

Not necessarily. Although I'm waiting for it to hit paperback (financial and storage concerns preclude a hardcover purchase), it struck me as way too high-concept and high-budget to be done as an indie. And Dina Meyer might be a better choice for the title role, as she's more of an action star than Julia.
