the WA doesn't have any 'laws' about crime
(except the 'human right' law. My advice: Vote Against!)

Propisition 13

REALISING the criminal activity in several WA nations.
CONCERNED that there is no improvement, whatsoever.
SEEKING to remedy this situation, without causing any large amounts of physical or mental damage to the criminals (prevent human rights campaign)

RECOMMENDING the following countermeasures:
1) Sentences for adolescents between 13-17
Minor Crimes
- Confinement in a institution for re-education
- Sole confinement in a clinical mental facility
(only when deemed mentally insane)
- A fine, raising to 4000$
- Voluntairy work (under supervision)
Major Crimes
- Confinement in a military training institution for military training, for later use in the nation's army (if tests have been passed by the convicted)
- Sole confinement in a clinical mental facility
(only when deemed mentally insane)
DEFINITON OF CRIMES STATED BELOW

2) Sentences for adults, older than 18
Minor Crimes
- Imprisonement in national prison (duration stated by court)
- Sole confinement in a clinical mental facility
(only when deemed mentally insane)
- A fine, raising to 8000$
Major Crimes
- Imprisonement (for life) in national prison
- Sentence to death (method of execution stated by court)

Types of Crime
Minor crimes: infractions and misdeleanors:
Stealing, Vandalizing, Underaged driving, etc.

Major Crimes: Felony
violent crimes (eg: rape), murder, violent theft

These laws are required for the preservation of peace in our nations. And should therefore be taken seriously.

If you agree, endorse me ;)

Our criminal justice system is working just fine without WA interference, thank you very much.

Really? How do you know that?

Okay, this bit just doesn't make sense. Why would you want to prevent a human rights campaign, and how would doing that reduce crime, anyway?

No, no, no. Quite apart from the fact that conscription and the death penalty are themselves illegal in many nations, you are seeking to dictate punishments to nations, which is never going to be popular, as that goes deep into what is generally accepted as an area of national jurisdiction.

There are only six types of crime possible, then?... And are you aware that not all jurisdictions use the term or the concept of a "felony" or a "misdemeanour"? The criminal code in Kelssek, and in most nations, I'd wager, runs to thousands of pages in its book form and is often used in law firms to help employees reach high shelves. You can't possibly hope to replace that within the character limit.

Also, please spell properly.

We have resolutions in the WA, not propositions... well I'm sure there's been a prop... nevermind.

*snip*

Mandatory sentencing based on international law? That's not going to work... ever.

Crime is interpreted and therefore punished differently in the nations of the WA, based on traditions and ideals that one 3500 word resolution could never cover.

Not to beat a dead horse (well, actually, entirely to beat a dead horse), Gnoria would strongly oppose any legislation to this effect. We have our criminal codes; you have yours; punishments for crimes, as long as they are not cruel, do not constitute an international issue.

Under Cobdenian law, attempting to interfere with our justice system is a major crime. Thus, under this proposal, I would have to sentence the author to death by the means selected by the court.

Let's hope that you don't get Mr Justice "Rip their balls off, let them bleed, then add salt, before slowly flaying their skin off with a blunt potato peelers" Jones as your judge...
