Comprehensive list of WA resolutions

The Confederacy of Sol-III would like to formally request that the World Assembly bureaucracy provides a more comprehensively organised reference list of WA Resolutions, as many leaders, ourself included, do not have time to sift through the long lists in search of key information.

We propose that this reference list does not contain repealed resolutions, or the resolutions that repealed them.

We also propose that this reference list is ordered by Cattegory rather than number.

We would be grateful to the WA if this is done, as well as to anyone who seconds this proposition.

We would also be willing to turn this into a proposal, if that is deemed to be the best way to make this an official part of the WA bureaucracy.

We already have a comprehensive list of passed resolutions, both on this forum and the new one hosted on the main NS site. The forum search options work perfectly on both.

If you want to search by category try the wiki list (www.nswiki.net/index.php?title=WA_Timeline). If you want to omit repeals, well, that's just not practical.

You cannot make a proposal about this; it would be illegal.

Read the sticky > http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=560628 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=560628)

or the NS page.... http://www.nationstates.net/page=WA_past_resolutions

My point is both the sticky and the NS page are painfull to go through. The wiki is somewhat better, I hadn't known it existed. Well, if no one else wants to do it, I may do it after my exams (in a month and a half). It should only take a day or two.

Well good luck. :)

Make a better reference list. Possibly just through additions to the wiki.

Define "better"?

There was in our old building a searchable database of resolutions. Are there any plans of resurrecting that technology and using it here?

You'd have to ask Safalra - he's updated as far as #20 (http://safalra.com/other/nationstates/wa-resolution-search/).

There we go, that's excellent. Can there not be an obvious link to this?

Not to make light of your dilemma, but how is anyone going to make a list of 45 resolutions into a short list?

Compared to what we had at the end of the UN, that is a short list.

Compared to what we had at the end of the UN, that is a short list. And he did say that he'd omit the repealed resolutions, and the repeals, which shortens that list a bit too...
