OOC: NS2 'experiment' and World Assembly proposals?

Nordavia, a WA delegate, received an interesting telegram from Strabnol about an NS2 'experiment' that involved approving of certain proposals and not of others. Let's see if you guys can shed any light on it... or at least make any sense about how NS2 and the World Assembly are connected in any way. Kind of sucks that the Primary Education Act was singled out...

(sent to Nordavia from Strabnol)

From one WA Delegate to another I would like to ask you to take part in a true NS2 experiment.

One of the most fascinating elements of NS2 is the social networking aspect of it, our freedom to converse and work out things as a group.

This next request may seem strange but it is something I really hope you'll help with.

You recently approved the 'Primary Education Act', and I would like you to remove your approval.

There is only a very short time left for 14/04/09 (when voting ends) and I have no of knowing if you'll even get this telegram in time.

If you don't get it in time, in order to carry on with the experiment I would ask you to approve the 'Promoting of Whaling' proposal which end voting on 16/04/09.

These two acts/ proposals/ laws... have been picked out a random. Don't think of their content or whether you believe them to worthy or not. This is not about right or wrong, this is about a larger experiment.

I agree this may all seem a little strange, but hey humour me?

Drop me a telegram and when you've voted and by close of play on 16/04/09 I'll let you know what the results of this experiment were.

Very bizarre. And to make things even more strange, Nordavia first contacted me because he thought Primary Education Act was my proposal. And then there's the 'experiment' itself, which involves my puppet's whaling proposal.

Kind of sucks that the Primary Education Act was singled out...
I would be fucking irate. In fact I am pissed that he chose to involve the whaling proposal in his little experiment.

And what is the point of the experiment in the first place ?

I can't see that there is a point to it, beyond "let's see if we can get people who have approved this proposal to approve this one instead". And what does that fucking NS2 have to do with it?

That's what's unclear. Nordovia seems to think that it's just a scam to get delegates to withdraw their approval of the Primary Education Act. I would hope not, but I tend to give the benefit of the doubt. If that's the case though, I think this kind of campaigning should be condemned.

I'd agree, I believe the motives behind it are back-handed politics. Perhaps an enemy of Glen-Rhodes? But the motive to endorse the whaling proposal is unclear. A very vexing circumstance indeed. Perhaps the mods should be informed?

Perhaps the mods should be informed?

And what would the point of that be? Sure it's a dirty underhanded tactic, but there's nothing illegal about it.
