Will the Reduction of Abortion Act Really Be Passed?

England and France

I know this is just a game, but I will in disgust leave the WA if the Reduction of Abortion Act is passed. It is disgraceful, and breaking basic civil rights, to pass such a law - it is up to individual countries not the WA to decide whether it is pro-choice or pro-crazyreligiousfundamentalism or so called 'life'.

It shot up quickly with the approvals, so do you think it stands a chance?

This just calls for an IC response.

Location: World Assembly Headquarters
Who: Thundra Whispermoon, Kaldorei representative
Silara Windsong, Sin'dorei representative
Gorim Steelfist, Orc representative
Terrim Silenthoof, Tauren represenative
Engle Silvershock, Draenai represenative
Subject: Reduction of Abortion Act

At current, the tauren and the draenai were still dancing across the floor. The current casualty, between them and Thundra's repeated attempts to fly, were now six chairs, eight tables, the dignity of a random woman delegate who ended up with her clothes ripped off by the night elf, and the delegates having to choose between a drunk elf, the dancing, or the verbal screeches that came from halfway down the building and yet were still somehow hearable. Yes, the dignity of the World Assembly room would be forever soiled by this day. Assuming it had any left.

"Whash tha?" Thundra drunkenly slurred as she neared the delegate from England and France. "You dun like meddlin? Whash wron with you? Meddlin is fun! Thish... thish... Woah, two papersh... Thish doesh nah meddlin tha bad. Ish all goo! Ya ca shtill deshide on abor... aba... baby murder. Oh, I dun feel sho goo..."

And then, Thundra promptly threw up on the delegate's table.

As the author of the Reduction of Abortion Act, I am glad you have raised this question.

As the Ambassador for Quintessence of Dust has tried to bring to your attention, the resolution does NOT decide whether any nation is pro-choice or pro-life. It expressly leaves that matter untouched.

Nor does the resolution deprive anyone of any civil rights. The resolution is respectful of the position that abortion is a fundamental right AND the view that the unborn have a right to life.

The purpose of the resolution is to reduce abortion and unintended pregnancies by means of information, education, and services such as contraception, sex education, etc. This empowers women while reducing the need for abortions.

I think its brilliant Cat-Tribe.

The issue at hand is not if abortion is right or not,

Because in a perfect world, abortion would be legal but never needed.

I think the better question is, will this thread get merged with the original thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=588443) or just get locked and left to die?

The latter.
