Alright everyone! After three weeks of grueling votes on which resolution is the finest, the moment we've all been waiting for has come...

Ladies and gentlemen, meet your finalists!

#8: World Assembly Headquarters (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13835755&postcount=10) - 14 votes
#9: Prevention of Torture (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13835796&postcount=11) - 11 votes

#19: Child Protection Act (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=14065467&postcount=21) - 9 votes
#21: Living Wage Act (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=14096784&postcount=23) - 9 votes

#23: Ban on Slavery and Trafficking (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=14140556&postcount=25) - 14 votes
#25: WA Counterterrorism Act (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=14283232&postcount=27) - 13 votes...Rights and Duties of WA States is a Political Stability resolution from Frisbeeteria. When not being widely misinterpreted by jerks who don't think the WA should be able to do anything, she enjoys hiking, playing the banjo, and making WA militaries illegal...

And so forth.

Luckily we're all voting just once this time, so there's no need to rehash the rules. I'll leave this up for seven days, and announce the winner at the end. Winner gets an all-expenses-paid vacation for two to Murrayland, the EVILEST theme park in NationStates!!

WA General Fund. Not only is it well written but it solved the dilemma of "how do we pay for this".

My next choice would have been either 'Rights and Duties', 'Prevention of Torture' or 'Slavery and Trafficking'.

WA General Fund, hands down.

All of them are really good resolutions. But WA General Fund is the bes t only because it solved the question,"wheres the money?". Think about it. Take the Prevention of Torture Resoultion. It is extreamly good and greatly improves human rights around the world. But how do you pay for its funding? What im saying is that the WA General Fund is the resolution that makes most other resolutions come to life.

I'll admit to being a coward and voting Genral Fund as the majority have done so far.

While I very much appreciate the level of support shown thus far for WAGF, you may want to consider that I've already won one of these before. That said, I voted for Rights and Duties. It is, after all, a resolution of supreme importance, resolving the question of the supremacy of international law, and as an added bonus establishing once and for all the illegality of a WA police force.

I voted for WAGF as well. I am very appreciative of getting 2 nominations, though.

Bit of an odd choice for us, I suppose, but we were all kids once, right?

Not that some still aren't, metaphorically speaking...

With the WA General Fund, the question of funding is clearly answered- which never happened during the old UN days. It has my vote!

Had to go with the General Fund, I remember having a lot of issues back in the old days when everyone argued over how things were being paid for and how much every nation paid into it.

Hr'rmm, I see that theres' still only one other ambassador who has now voted for the 'Ban on Slavery and Trafficking': How very surprising, I really expected that to do much better...

While other resolutions may be more important in raising the standards of nations and individuals, we find ourself returning again and again to World Assembly Headquarters. Not only does this valuable proposal provide us with a place in which to carry out our functions of metagovernment, but in and of itself it is a model of clarity and lyricism that should be an inspiration to us all in our drafting efforts, meagre as they may be in the face of such a glory.

PS: Thanks, Shazbotdom!
