Ooh! Ooh! Miss, I know this one!

An easy choice:
- #14: Neutrality of Nations: the "author" didn't understand their own resolution
- #15: Freedom of Marriage Act: ridiculous to legalise gay marriage before legalising being gay...
- #16: Sexual Privacy Act: ...or to be quite so casual about legalising incest
- #19: Child Protection Act: meh, children
- #20: Suppress International Piracy: this pissed off no end of people.

#17: WA General Fund is the most important resolution we have ever passed. #18: The Prisoners of War Accord was on a worthy subject (and made way for #23). #21: Living Wage Act, while not perfect, was good enough for us.

#16 though I readily admit it should have been passed before the FoMa
#17 because it gives this pit of iniquity wads and wads of cash to roll around in
#21 because it gives the poor oppressed workers, who will one day rise up and take back the means of production, some wads of cash to roll around in too.

Oh, realy easy this time.
#14. A good appropriate matter of international law. Check
#15. Ridiculous that this is a matter if international law.
#16. See above.
#17. Meh.
#18. Another good and appropriate international concern. Probably the best one shown so far. Check.
#19. Acceptable but meh.
#20. At least it's an international concern. Check.
#21. Bad for SOOOOOOO many different reasons

Edit: reasons, not regions... See Spot. See Spot run. Yes, I can type. (end of self insulting sarcasm).

Wow AO is hogging most of the glory in the poll, hmmmm :)

It's our own form of world domination, my dear. Slowly but deliberately bending all WA nations to our will, resolution by resolution. :p At least until the Lloegeyran revolution succeeds, and let's all pray it does. As Gruen said during UN national sovereignty domination, it gets rather boring winning all the time.

That said, I cast only two votes in this poll. WAGF and POW are the only things worth putting through to next round; the rest of them just suck - for basically all of the reasons already outlined by the silver-tongued Quod. Well said.

Living Wage: well, it is ours after all.
POW: clear and important legislation.
Ummmmm...
OK, we suppose WAGF gets out last vote. It's head and shoulders above the rest, it's devious in its ambiguity, and it actually passed.

What the hell. We've only picked two, because the others, well, suck. Numbers 16 and 17 are our votes.

Number 20, BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

15, 18, 19--all mandate (er, "grant") rights in a fairly straightforward way. 21 would be our next choice but it's a tad circuitous.

Hr'rmm.

#14 deals with a matter of genuinally international scope, but we aren't enitrely happy with the details of how it does so;
#15 & #16 both deal with matters that aren't even 'national' ones in Bears Armed, so we don't approve of international legislation on those subjects;
#17 is obviously very useful for the WA, although of course its degree of usefulness to the member nations and their peoples depends on what the meaures for which its funding is required are actually like, so it's a possibility;
#18 deals with a matter of genuinally international scope, and does so very well, so it's IN;
#19 protects cubs, who are more likely than adults to need such help, so that even though it being a matter that actually belongs under international legislation is highly arguable it's a possibility;
#20 deals with a matter of genuinally international scope, and although there are one or two details about it with which we aren't entirely happy (such as, primarily, the clause authorising attacks on international pirates' bases even when they're located within other nations' jurisdictions: the author should have required giving those nations a reasonable length of time in which to deal with the situation themselves, first...) it's also a definite possibility;
and #21 deals with yet another matter that isn't even a 'national' one in Bears Armed, so we don't really approve of international legislation on that subject... although we will freely admit that its author did listen to some of our other suggestions about its contents.

So, after thinking for a while: #18, #19, and -- chosen by a narrow margin over #17 (OOC: because of it being mine...) -- #20.

One that we voted for, and two that we didn't: Oh well, it could have been worse...

OOC: Hm. WA General Fund not only because people sometimes completely misunderstand its purpose, leading to very entertaining back-and-forths, but because it's made resolution writing that much easier.

The other two I picked because I had to pick at least three.

One vote will be subtracted from each resolution to compensate for Charlotte Ryberg voting for all them. Anyone else who votes for more than three can also expect their votes to be nullified.

Sorry, neglected this. Voting ends this afternoon, and we really could use a few more votes - or even just one, to break the tie between Child Protection and the Living Wage. Come on, folks. Don't be shy!

Cheater! You already voted. :P

I must admit this thread was severely lacking in the catgirls department, however. Can you, maybe, dance around a little before we sign off?
