Idea: Rules of War

Awhile back when the Vets Act was in the draft phase a number of people thought there needed to be a Rules of War law in place.

If there's enough that think this would be a good idea, we would be willing to take a crack at it.

I think it's a terrible idea.

Well, it would have to be fairly general to allow for multiple tech levels. I think.
I don't dismiss ideas until I see the products.

What you wish for can be achieved in the passing of several resolutions. Attempting to create an all-encompassing resolution on the "rules of war" is not advised, most notably because resolutions can only be so many characters. Unfortunately, that limit is too small for any serious attempt at war legislation.

So, as I said first, if you wish to attempt this lofty goal, do so through numerous proposals. There are already several of them passed: Prevention of Torture, Nuclear Arms Possession Act, Humanitarian Transport, Prisoners of War Accord, Diplomat Protection Act, WA Counterterrorism Act, and Convention Against Genocide.

We would concur with Dr Castro of Glen Rhodes, and would take pleasure in the novelty.

I, for one, would like to see humanitarian/relief aid legislation that not only effectively organizes the deployment of such as, but restricts nations from blocking humanitarian/relief aid also. Coordinating Relief Aid was repealed, but I have not yet seen the promised replacement being worked on.
