Free Internet For All

I'd like to bring your attention to my proposal for the World Assembly; the right to free internet access for all citizens.

The internet is a clear advancement in society and benefits all peoples, regardless of their agendas, race, age, or any other factor. The amount of information that the internet has made available has helped to educate hundreds of millions of children, and with your votes hopefully more people will gain access to the oasis of information and communication that the internet provides.

It is my hope that all countries can benefit from a free-er flow of information and that with the aids to education our economies too can prosper.
Thankyou for your time.

It would be a proposal.

Well where is the proposal then ? All you have is a suggestion, draft a resolution about your suggestion and then you'll have something worth looking at, thus far all you have looks like spam and advertising ( which isn't allowed ).

Since the Ambassador of ADS BY GOOGLE appears to lack the common politeness to do so despite repeated prompting, we will pass round a copy of their proposal.

Category: Education and Creativity
Area of Effect: Educational
Proposed by: ADS BY GOOGLE

Description: UNDERSTANDING the importance of education for the future of all nations and the economies of the future,

ACKNOWLEDGING the potential of the Internet and it's ability to aid and educate children worldwide,

HOPING for a world of free information and objectivity;

All nations must recognise Internet access as a human right, and must act accordingly to enable free Internet access for all citizens.
There are a number of problems with this. Even nations like Gobbannium which prize education very highly do not regard Internet access as a human right, and accordingly cannot support this.

Further, the proposal fails to make allowance for those nations who do not currently have anything recognisable as internet connectivity, nor indeed the technology with which to implement it; nor in some cases is it possible to import that technology due to implausible and inconvenient temporal effects. We also suspect that those advanced-technology nations for whom the Internet is an unbearably slow and archaic communications medium will similarly not look upon this proposal with favour.

I would be remiss as a fellow region-mate of this player to point out that they occasionally closes their posts on the RMB with similar text.

Well, you gotta admit it's a pretty good idea for a nation. That or a disturbingly true-believer Google employee.

We thank the kind ambassador from ADS BY GOOGLE for offering this for our consideration. We were especially enamored with the INCREASE YOUR IQ, and found this well-balanced with considerations of WII BRAIN TRAINING. Though we are still deliberating the appropriate course, we must commend you on the cogency of your argument.
