Moved from the Silly Proposals thread - Fris

And finally this one sounds like it's trying to introduce new legislation in a repeal.
And finally, you're wrong. It is simply "wishing to rectify this situation and clear a path for effective legislation". It is acceptable to employ such language in a repeal.

You will desist from posting proposals submitted by the Aundotutunagirian People in the "Silly and/or Illegal WA Proposals. zOMG!" discussion. It is an affront to our honor.

I have a counter proposal. You write nothing but clearly worded proposals that are neither silly nor illegal, and I won't post them here. (if they are either however..);)

You're wrong. It is clearly worded and is neither silly nor illegal. Don't try identifying illegal proposals when you plainly don't know what you are talking about.

Oh sure, clear as mud. Give it a rest already, I removed the *removed* proposal from the post.

As you should.

In the future, you will refrain from posting proposals submitted by the Aundotutunagirian People in the "Silly and/or Illegal WA Proposals. zOMG!" discussion. We do not submit silly and/or illegal WA Proposals and to suggest that we do is an affront to our national honor.

Not making any promises other than the one I already made. And don't even think of asking for a apology. A five billion man nation does not apologize to a nation with less than a fifth of that population.

Temper, temper.

We will await a Moderator ruling on the matter so that you may be shown the error of your ways. In the meantime, please submit an essay of 1000 words or less explaining why you considered my repeal illegal in the first place.

Also, put the five billion man nation back in your trousers. It is true that we are not strong, but we know of Peoples that are...

In your dreams. Even if I was wrong, being mistaken is not against the rules. Now shoo, get lost, unless you have a silly proposal to share.

I know that! I was not threatening you with Moderator action, fool! I was simply asking for a ruling to clarify that language such as "wishing to rectify this situation and clear a path for effective legislation" is legal in the text of a repeal. It is for matters of future reference and judicial precedent.

Now shoo, get lost,
No.

Apologies for misunderstanding then. Thought the moderator ruling was because of me, not to clarify whether the wording used.:$

OOC: No, it wasn't because of you. My character is pissed but I'm just RPing and drinking coffee. I know wording like that is legal but I can't seem to find the post with the Mod ruling. Can't remember which repeal discussion it was in. Anyway, we've clogged up the thread enough with this and should probably drop it.

ooc: works for me. Plus, remember that in this thread I generally post out of character unless otherwise noted (the exact opposite of how I would anywhere but in general)

I believe the consensus was that repeals may advocate new legislation, but not create any.

Yes that's what I was looking for. Thank you.
