WWDD: Proposal needing approval

The KAT Administration
28-10-2008, 22:15
WWDD - A proposal providing for the sake of the Nations of the world enjoying that of a World Wide Drinking Day - for the world to take a break, and enjoy the festivity provided by the alcoholic beverage.

A proposal of this type:

ASKS the nations of the UN to consider the advantages from a day of this area, rather than consequences thought up by those of the pessimistic nature.

RECOMMENDS the nations of the UN to consider the merriment and joy brought from kicking back with a drink and relaxing with a day off for such activity.

RECOGNIZES that every human being, including the supreme and noble rulers themselves, should be able to "kick back and relax" with the alcoholic beverage of their choice for a day of peace and thought.

ACKNOWLEDGES those nations with alcoholic bans and asks them to reconsider for one day of their calender year to give their citizens a chance to appreciate the wonder and truths expelled from the mystery of alcohol.

CONSIDERS the consequences of such a day, but simply asks, if good control is exerted upon a nation with a good ruler, should there actually be any problems?

REQUESTS the approval of the UN to promote such a day for laughter, fun, gaiety, and relaxation, while providing for the boom of the industry regarding. Also, providing for the day every citizen can look forward to all across the world, bringing the sense of worldwide unity, a Friday, the WWDD, the World Wide Drinking Day.

Debate as you will.

Frivolous? Check.

Not a matter of international significance? Check.

As likely to get our approval as a proposal to kick every male Altan Steppes citizen in the nuts? Check.

UN? Sorry, they're gone. They got blown up in that disastrous collision with RL.

The only way this will be approved and enacted is if everyone is drunk.

the mystery of alcohol? there is no mystery, people we drink more than normal in nations that have banned alcohol since it's only once a year. and i would enlargen any underground alcohol efforts. also, it really isn't worth the WA's attention. let's work on education and terrorirsm and stuff like that delegates, not party days of the year

But, like, dude and dudettes, it's beer!

Beer, I tell you!

His Majesty of the Holy Empire of Alarician Inquisitions believes that this resolution, if passed, would only cause harm and destruction.

It has taken almost 30 years for the Holy Alarician Inquisition to eliminate alcohol entirely from the country except for communion wine.

Moreover, an international day of celebration revolving around drinking? Sounds like an invitation for a terrorist offensive...

There is no way that the Ten Kingdoms would ever approve such a resolution. It is utterly frivolous, and not very well though out. It would encourage laxing off, and negitive behaviors.

The Gryzbeckistanian government will not endorse this resolution.

OK, I think it's been established that this idea isn't going to happen, can we just let the thread die now?

It's a good idea. I disagree with the "every being" part. By saying that, it sounds as though you are including youth and underage drinkers. You might want to edit that part. Also, there wold be many alcohol/drunk related problems. There should probably be some restrictions and more rules in your proposal to prevent these problems. But, it would be really neat for a world-wide holiday/celebration.

I probably will not endorse this, until restrictions are made.
