On Monarchy

I believe that a resolution is needed to ensure that countries which currently have monarchs will not hinder the progress of democracy. All monarchist countries must hold a vote to see whether or not the people want a monarch. It is my belief that if a monarch does not represent the people then they are a dictator.

Can anyone see a problem with such a resolution?

Constructive criticism is welcome.

WA proposals cannot be selective as to which nations they impact, nor can they ban an ideology. Since you effectively want to do both (an elected monarch isn't the same as one appointed by the Divine Right of Kings), I'd say you don't have a real shot at making this work.

Also, the WA allows dictatorships without any question or penalty, so I'm puzzled over your restriction to monarchies.

Would this pertain to absolute monarchs, or also include constitutional monarchs whose power is limited by a Constitution? Some nations have a democratic element and a monarch.

Edit: Sorry, Fris, didn't see your post.
