PLEASE SUPPORT THIS REPEAL!!! It is a WA proposal, already has 21 supporters!

Repeal "World Assembly Headquarters"
The members of the World Assembly:

RECOGNIZING that many members have poor economies to which aid from the World Assembly could be sent to;

REALIZING that in order to follow Resolution #8 of the World Assembly it would take a substantial amount of money (real estate, construction, maintenance, security) which could instead be used as foreign aid;

FURTHER REALIZING that members, some of which, as said before, have poor economies, would have to pay a rental fee for office space and additional fees for nations who regularly use WA facilities;

DISCOVERING that the World Assembly Internet page is enough "office space" for the exchange of ideas and the making of proposals and resolutions;

Hereby repeal Resolution #8 of the World Assembly.

Perhaps you missed this clause from resolution #8:

Grants the OBM exclusive authority to increase, decrease or waive these fees as circumstances warrant

We are confident that the OBM can and will make the necessary adjustments for poorer nations to be able to have office space. We also do not agree with your contention that the "Internet page" you refer to constitutes office space, or that it is somehow desirable for the WA not to have a physical space. Opposed.

Dear Delegate of Nuevos Aires,
Before you put a proposals out to be voted upon please consider the world we live in. We must look at the digital world as the actually world. If we can't get universal education to pass, Try lobbying for the support of your fellow Delegates and overwhelm the general population.

Also, in light of the recent Discussion , Im would like to open foreign diplomacy and connect the ties of oujr world. You can email me at gammagusta@gmail.com

I am happy with having one place to do our work, but don't give up on your repeal because I actually got to admit that money used to build the headquarters should really go to good causes such as Humanitarian aid by the NS-ICRC (Resolution #5) and yes, developing nations.

It also means no more 'pick me please' requests jamming our telecommunications system. (What I mean by 'pick me please' requests is people who desperately ask for the WA to have its HQ in our country: we can't do that!)

[snip] I actually got to admit that money used to build the headquarters should really go to good causes such as Humanitarian aid by the NS-ICRC (Resolution #5) and yes, developing nations.

There's an obvious problem with that. You're after revenue money, returning year after year. The HQ building money, a fair bit of which is already contractually committed I bet, is one-off capital. Raiding the capital budget for revenue, or "selling off the family silver" as it is also known, is often a really bad idea.
