This is a repeal I feel needs to be approved for vote. It will restore what I believe the World Assembly is here for, to be the moral, diplomatic compass, the purveyor of good and preserver of life and habitat.

Repeal "Nuclear Arms Possession Act"
A proposal to repeal a previously passed resolution

Category: Repeal
Resolution: #10
Proposed by: Icy Cold Death Touch
Description: WA Resolution #10: Nuclear Arms Possession Act (Category: International Security; Strength: Mild) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument:

REALIZING that WA members are outnumbered by non-members by about 3 to 1,

ACKNOWLEDGING that those who have joined the WA have a stronger moral diplomatic compass.

NOTING that WA nations need to continue to be the moral compass to those who are not WA members and take a responsible stand against the danger of nuclear weapons to the preservation of life and of habitat.

1. DECLARES that WA nation are not allowed to possess nuclear weapons to defend themselves from hostile nations,
2. NEGATES the right for individual nations to decide if they want to possess nuclear weapons,
3. REQUIRES that all WA nations cease nuclear weapon production, possession and testing.

These measures will further aid in the plight to stop these deadly weapons landing in the wrong hands.

This proposal is illegal: a repeal can only repeal, not make new ('active') legislation as well.

Furthermore we, as a nation that has only recently chosen to join the World Assembly, take exception to the suggestion that its members automatically "have a stronger moral diplomatic compass" than all of the non-members.
