Description: The AK47 is the worlds most dangerous firearm. Almost one in 70 people own one, and ever since the disolvement of the USSR the world has been flooded with them. The AK47 has consequentially fallen into the hands of Terrorists and Criminals alike. To reduce the ability of Terrorists and Criminals to fight this Resolution:
(A)Bans the production of the AK range of weapons (47, 74, Type 52 Chinese)
(B)Bans the producion of 7.62mm ammunition used by these weapons.
(C)The offence of the posession of an AK range weapon or the ammunition results in a 6 year prison sentence (with elegibility to bail).
(D)Requires all AK range weapons to be destroyed on sight (unless forensic examination is required).



A lot of proposals have been doing the rounds banning cluster bombs/mines, but the AK47 has killed far more innocent people than both of them combined. Please support this proposal.
I also apologise for putting 'type 52'. I was in fact referring to the 'type 56'.

Not to mention the reference to the USSR.

Or the, apparently, made up statistic. Or the mention of "Type 52 Chinese". Or the silliness of somehow blaming the 7.62mm round. Especially considering how much the current NATO standard (5.56mm) sucks.

Type 56 Chinese is a clone of the AK47, my friend. And 5.56 does not suck. It kills people just as dead and doesn't make the gun jump around like a beaten puppy.
I also neglected to mention the AKM.
Mate, I don't pretend to know much about guns. I'm not a yankee gun nut, so I'll leave stuff like that up to you guys, but I maintain that the AK47 is used by terrorist forces and rebels worldwide, and removing the AK47 would seriously undermine their ability to fight.

1. I think you spelled Leopard is 10x better than Windows wrong (in your username)

2. I like your proposal, I don't think a lot of people are going to know what this is. I mean, I am all for banning guns/firearms. I wouldn't want to promote this at all. I would support the proposal though.
I also might suggest that you could go broader with your idea to maybe like a category...

Just because more of these weapons exist does not mean that it is any more dangerous than any other weapon. It is a first-rate, high quality gun that is perfectly acceptable in an army or militia. But then, so are all guns. And you have forgotten to mention the Galil, AKS, AK-74, AK-74S, AK-74SU, AK-74M, AKM, PP-19 Bizon, AK-101, AK-102, AK-103, AK-104, AK-105, AK-107; AK-108.

As Hack has ruled hours ago that this proposal doesn't stand a chance, and as its obvious problems have been pointed out, I can't see that further discussion of it gets us anywhere.
