Hey guys,

I've introduced a proposed resolution that I think would be very important to pass. It regards the preservation of Old Growth Forests.

Old Growth Forests are basically areas of forest where trees, animals, and various vegetation have been part of stable ecosystems for hundreds of years. I won't rant on about them too much, except for to say that they are extremely beneficial in regards to providing habitation for endangered species, and filtering much of the carbon dioxide in our atmosphere. When they are logged, they also can reduce a lot of that carbon into the atmosphere; which has some serious environmental impacts.

In the above poll, I'd just like to try to work you where you guys stand on the issue. I personally think that it would be very possible to reach a good compromise between the Woodchipping industries and the environment, which is essentially what I'm trying to do with my proposed resolution.

WA Delegates, if you feel as I do, that Old Growth Forests need more protection, I would urge you to vote for my proposed resolution. It's currently on page 4 of the list of proposed resolutions.

Thanks, guys, hope to hear from our wide and diverse community soon!
