Medical Cannabis Legalization

A resolution to ban, legalize, or encourage recreational drugs.

Category: Recreational Drug Use

Decision: Legalize

Proposed by: Wencee

Description: RECOGNIZING; That Cannabis also known as Marijuana has many Medical Benefits to aid suffers of various diseases such as Cancer and glaucoma.

REALIZING; That there will always be abuse as all substances are abused to some degree. To minimize such risks of abuse, all usage of Cannabis for medical purposes must come from a doctors prescription. And this must be enforced by each nations Health Authorities.

IN CONCLUSION; Any and all risks of Cannabis are greatly outweighed by its pros to the sick, ill, and dying, there is no further debate on that matter scientifically. And all should have access to such a substance for their health needs.

A brief resolution I feel that has merit

You're in the wrong category, the mods have ruled that medical marijuana proposals have to be in the Recreational Drug Use category.

This should not be a WA issue at all, Wencee. Many countries, including The Unaware, have no drug laws, or very lax ones in place. This is not a WA decision, and would be cast down immediately.

one could argue that point to almost all the resolutions unaware >>

as for the category that seems rather..meh as it isnt recreational drug use unfitting but since it must be changed it must

As we do with drugs in our nation what our well educated citizens like, we have no interest in drug laws of the WA. If some nations like to ban drugs in their nation, no problem. If they allow it, no problem. If the WA tries to block the use in all WA-nations, we consider leaving the WA. If drug trade will be blocked between to nations who allows drugs, it will be a tragedy, but we will find our way.

That being said, we will support proposals allowing some recreational drugs for medical use.
But we will not support this proposal because we think our citizens will decide for themselves weather or not using cannabis. And we do not need a doctors prescription.

(We tell our citizens it is not smart to use cannabis because it greatly enlarges the chance of getting a psychosis, but doctors can predict chances for a patient to get that.)

you should tell them not to hold down a job they hate, it will kill them sooner and cause more cases of 'psychosis' lol

To make nations with more liberal drug laws happier, could you just recommend that medicinal uses need a prescription. After all, if a nation has legalised Cannabis for recreational use, it doesn't make a lot of sense to demand that people must go to their doctor when they can just claim to be enjoying the experience instead.

This proposal is dishonest. Dishonest in that it misleads; entitled "Medical Cannabis Legalization" despite its goals being "A resolution to ban, legalize, or encourage recreational drugs."

And also, "ban, legalize, or encourage"? Then what the hell does this proposal do?

REALIZING; That there will always be abuse as all substances are abused to some degree.
Better strike this out or you'll have to prove to me that every substance is abused. To complicate your task, definitions of "abuse" can vary.

IN CONCLUSION; Any and all risks of Cannabis are greatly outweighed by its pros to the sick, ill, and dying, there is no further debate on that matter scientifically.
