I urge all delegates to support my proposal to restrict WA regulation of each nations gun laws. It is listed as "The Freedom of Firearms Act" and it needs your support.

Freedom of Arms Act
A resolution to tighten or relax gun control laws.

Description: THE WORLD ASSEMBLY DECLARES that it shall pass no law to prohibit or restrict in any way every nations sovereign right to make its own laws regarding gun control.
This includes conventional weapons not coming under the description of NUCLEAR, CHEMICAL, or BIOLOGICAL. These weapons of mass destruction will not be subject to this resolution and may still be acted upon by future resolutions at the WA's discretion.
This law recognizes a nations right to its own moral code regarding arming its citizens and/or military.
By adopting this resolution, the World Assembly will release its right of regulation of conventional weapons in the world to all individual nations.

Unfortunately, we feel that this measure is entirely too broad. By making an exception only for nuclear, chemical or biological weapons, we feel that this measure would lead to the proliferation of weapons that average citizens really have no business owning, and that the WA would be powerless to prevent that in any way. Opposed.

I would have to say that i agree with The Altan Steppes
I dont believe your going to find very much support in this one.
Most, if not all:confused:, WA nations dont want to be attacked by crazy nations with Biological weapons and such:eek:. Its the WA's goal to make the world a better place, and if your allowing nations to have weapons of mass destruction, then who knows what horrors could come from it :gundge:
