I am going to soon, with in the next month, post a proposal into the WA, Based majorly on THE COMMUNICATIONS ACT OF 1934, as it was updated in 1996, it latest form, and upon the Internet Freedom Preservation Act, thiss will be a long long proposal, right now three hundred pages it looks like, I am wondering what the comunicty thinks of this, and If I should post a majority of it in "bite size chunks" here, and post this thread as a link near the begining of the proposel(Which would reduce lag on the World assembly page GREATLY if I could just have a summery and overview of its effects, and to have a link to it elseware for people who want to read it more indepth.

You have a total of 3500 characters or so to make your case. If you were planning on submitting some massive multi-page document, better start summarizing, 'cause it won't fit elsewise.

No, you may not link to the bigger version. You need to work with what the game gives you.

Kinda ironic that we often get one-to-two line proposals that would not suffice as toilet paper, and here we have a member so enthused as to go above and beyond in details, and yet that too is just as unacceptable.

Not that I'm saying I'd actually read 300 pages, of course.

Of course you wouldn't...no one in their right mind would. Hence why there is a character limit.

Now if we got paid, then I might read it :p

Anything can be shrunk down to 3500 characters or less. First, you need to think what the original law does and summaries it. Never use real world references. That is, never mention things like 'USA' or 'George Bush'.

Well actuly, I was going to combine the current version with the "Net neutrality act" and modifie it so it will be aplicpable in a global enviroment.[/I]

Communications include the Internet and should not be censored like, OOC, the Great Firewall of China. of course, you can't mention the Great Firewall of China in your proposal because of the rules. I would approve a proposal that makes the Internet or other communications free,

Things to think about:

- Is it going to allow governments to remove indecent material like racists sites and pornographic material?
- Will it still attract a younger audience?
- Will Organizations still be able to use their own filters because, for example, they want to improve work flow?
- Should we still investigate communications usage for security and law enforcement?

Well, it will set a framework for what thw WCC will do, more of a overseer then anything, It will have a loose set of guidlines in it, which I would like to have debated before I propose it , and It will allow al member nations to form their own WCC-esqe agencies with laws that fall within the guidelines. and it will (currently) only effect public commications.

But I wonder if I even can propse this because of that tv Issue?
