Grammarical Standards For Proposals

I've seen many UN proposals in this game that were seriously lacking in proper grammar and syntax. We should be more serious in our legislation passing by giving someone the privilege of correcting any mistakes in any proposal. This will allow ideas to flow freely yet boost the respect of the World Assembly. I am not going to bother making a proposal for this but somebody else can make a proposal out of this suggestion.

That proposal would be illegal, anyway.

And the word is "grammatical," as long as we're excessively nitpicking.

I still wish to bring-up a point for furthering formality for the proposed documents. Errors equal loopholes, so that needs to be watched-out for.

It's the nature of the beast.

Literally speaking any idiot with the required number of endorsements can submit a proposal to the queue. Once submitted it cannot be edited. It can not be amended or modified. It can only be rejected, either by not getting enough endorsements or by deletion through the mods. Once it gets on the floor of the WA for a vote only a majority NAY vote or an act of the most divine programmer (which ain't gonna happen) can get it removed.

Given that most of the delegates and representatives don't even visit the forum and that the powers that be want them to be happy ...

Given that the general nature of the resolution entry system does not provide good resolution guidelines and allows for people to type any old thing they want ...

I don't see this changing ... EVER.

Yes, that sucks, but you live with it and move on.

We mods often delete the worst of them - the ones that are illegible or use a word or phrase that reverses the meaning. Unfortunately we can't remove them for poor grammar or spelling if they're otherwise legal. It's up to you Delegates to keep them out of the queue.
