United Nations ejections carrying on to World Assembly

So I've a Catch-22.
Were I a member of the World Assembly I could propose a resolution to be voted on to reaffirm my ability to join the World Assembly, but, as it stands, I'm not a member and therefore can't do anything about my inability to become a member.
I was expelled from the former institution for having other nations as members, which is a clear violation of the rules. Now, I'm not one normally for childishness, but I think it's fair to say that violating international conventions on the use of the 'United Nations' moniker and related logos, etc. is somewhat risqué, to say the least.
Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of Max Barry and I support him 100% in this matter and applaud his quick action in carrying out the requirements of the cease and desist letter, but I'd like to ask kindly whether the same sort of understanding could be shown towards people like myself who were banned from the previous establishment for transgressions of this sort.
I'd like to be able to join the WA and being a more worldly and mature person I think I can abide by these rules adequately.
It's been - at a guess - three years since I was ejected and I think I've done a decent job of being a good NationStates citizen outside of the UN since then, but with this new change - the fall of the United Nations, the rise of the World Assembly - perhaps we can look past the accidental or naive mistakes made in the past and give some nations a second chance?
Thankyou for hearing me out.

If I'm not much mistaken, there is such an understanding. You're allowed to enter the UN/WA with a new nation that was not caught multiing.

This discussion belongs in Moderation - but don't hold your breath on the moderators allowing your original UN nation back in the WA.

I don't want to seem cruel but you broke a rule in the UN. All the rules were careered over from the UN so unfortunately you’re still out.

Odd, I don't see a Moderator tag next to your name.

My main nation was banned from the UN. Now that the UN is dead and we have the WA, is my nation allowed to join it?

I was delegate. A member in my region openly stated on the HQ that he had more than one nation in the UN. I stupidly supported him and we both were ejected from the UN. It was a huge mistake and I swear never to make that mistake again.

With the UN gone, am I allowed to try to start over and join the WA?

Like Omigodtheykilledkenny said, don't expect to be able to enter the WA that freely. It is possible that United Nations ejections may carry forward to the relaunched World Assembly.

Kowaneko is correct... the rules page is exactly the same for WA as from the UN...

Although the question remains if the banlist carries over....

Since the WA is basically the UN with a name change, I'd figure that the bans will remain in place.

Unlike Kowaneko, I do have a moderator tag next to my name. Only mods have the ability to make definitive statements about what is or isn't covered by the rules.

Since the WA is a new body, and since the other mods and I have very carefully refrained from stating that all prior infractions do in fact carry over, you may safely assume that the final decision has not yet been made ... or made public.

Okay, well, that's somewhat clarified. I suppose I'll just have to wait and see what the verdict ends up as.
