Human Rights for Clones and Test Tubers

UnitedStatesOfAmerica-

We should have a resolution to protect the human rights of people who originated from either cloning or as test tube babies. It should also protect human rights for nonhuman sentients.

Well then, write one.

I've never done one before.

The World Assembly

BEING a World Government ruling with the mutural consent of member States,

RECOGNIZING the need for national and international stability

AWARE of vast contributions made by clones, artificially created humans, and aliens, and intelligent nonhuman forms of life

AWARE that all sentient beings have emotions and feel pain

AWARE that all sentient beings are endowed by nature with basic rights and that among these are life, liberty, and equal treatment by the law and government.

EMPHASIZING the right of all sentients to be inalienable,

Hereby Declares:

1. All clones, humans created in test tubes, all Extraterrestrials, and all nonhuman intelligent lifeforms to have the right to be treated with dignity and respect. All such sentients are to be treated equally by the laws of the member nations of the World Assembly.

2. Should a nation find it cannot grant equality to a nonnatural human or a nonhuman sentient, the government shall permit the speciel group to leave their territory at the government's expense

3. All members of the World Assembly shall create commissions to ensure the human rights of clones, artificial humans and nonhuman sentients are protected.

Not sure if that is how is a resolution is supposed to look Then again the old UN already dealt with this so this will be mute by tomorrow if the old UN returns

Title: The Rights of Sentients Act

The World Assembly

AWARE that all sentient beings have emotions and feel pain

AWARE that all sentient beings are endowed by nature with basic rights and that among these are life, liberty, and equal treatment by the law and government.

EMPHASIZING the right of all sentients to be inalienable,

Hereby Declares:

1. All clones, other artificially created humans, all Extraterrestrials, and all nonhuman intelligent lifeforms to have the right to be treated with dignity and respect. All such sentients are to be treated equally by the laws of the member nations of the World Assembly.

2. Should a nation find it cannot grant equality to a nonnatural human or a nonhuman sentient, the government shall permit the speciel group to leave their territory.

3. All members of the World Assembly shall create commissions to ensure the human rights of clones, artificial humans and nonhuman sentients are protected.

4. Nothing in this resolution may be deemed to ban forced labor as a form of punishment for breaking national laws as long as such punish is not more than one lifetime and imposed only for the most serious of crimes.

(I eliminated the part about the nations paying to have people leave their territories as it would have been seen as an attempt to influence in game mechanics.) Is there anything else that needs to be done to fix this before I submit it?

Added clause 4. Nations need to be able to punish lawbreakers.

how do you figure out what the strenth of a proposal is?

I'm going to submit with the addition of a clause for creating a human rights ranking committee. There is already a thing in the game machanics that ranks nations by many subject areas such as human rights. So I hope 5 does not violate. If it does then I'll bring back to here for a rewrite.

"5. To assist nations in enforcing this resolution, this body creates the World Assembly Human Rights Commission, hereby known after as WAHRC, to rank nations according to their human rights records."

I'm assuming the new rankings system will say WA instead of UN??

As there are no extraterrestrials yet discovered,we can alter this when it is nessacary.Countries have the right to exercise the death penalty, even if it is an artificial lifeform.Countries hae the right to force prisoners to work during their jail term. Clones are created for scientific reasons only, and therefore are not considered to be intelligent.

You must be new. There are plenty of extraterrestrials, aliens, robots, talking animals, dragons, AIs, and other sapient species in the World Assembly.

Also, we can't alter it when necessary. Full repeal or nothing.

On the downside, now we can't blame UN institutional corruption when we get results we don't like. :D

Yes,I am new to this particular game...I thought the aliens were limited to the forum?

I'm not new to politics though, and note with display the number of global warming sceptics trying to scupper my green energy proposal (IE 2 :D ).Please register your thoughts on this issue.

PS,I sincerely hope this doesn't count as spamming!

I think we're trying to kill the original version so it won't have to be repealed. So far only one delegate has withdrawn their support though. I've asked a couple of the others to withdraw their support too. This way the improved version can be submitted.

As there are no extraterrestrials yet discovered,.I just had my chief healer check me over and like all Cavirrians I only have two terrestrials so unless another member race has more then I have no extras. Then has the human mutated to only have one tertrestrial thus we do have more than them but it is far from being extra for us to have two.. those born with one are considered desicrated by the High Power of Birth... as they lack the seed to fully cast into the womb of life... thus are limited in passing on their wisdoms and memories to another generation to carry forward their genetic energies and being..

As for the idea of clones being granted equal rights to other members of this body whatever you call it now... We as clones would hope once we become members we are equil to any other member or we have joined this WA for the wrong reasons... As if they are going to have to make new proposals each time a new member joins to make sure they are treated as equal because of some simple difference in them than other members then we are starting on a bad path here. As memberships should make members equal under any laws for the membership that it should apply on that membership.. and no special clause saying 'as well as: 1) Green Eyed Pigs of Pigonia 2)Three Legged Nurds of Nurdonia 3) Pink Skinned Amorris of Amorrack.. should these nations come to or want to become a part of this small region of a vast universe or even become members of the WA...

Minister of Space Travel;

We feel the term "Test Tubers" used by the member from UnitedStatesofAmerica is an insult on a prowd race of people we consider our family and friends, the Messapazians.. it also shows the individuals lack of understanding of things that are normal ways of life for many races... As I would take it the USA people are born in a womb so "Wombies" as we might call them are looked at differently when they apply for membership here.. and once in need to be treated differently simply because they are not Clones or TTers.. once they become members it makes no difference how they were created the WA has by allowing them in made them an equal to any other member... and members who don't see it that way need learn that is life or the body needs to apply sanctions on such nations until they come in line.. and treat all members as equals..

Louda Mouthamama, A12786P

Chairwoman Ladies of Honor Society;

Thus we of Cavirra feel the first order is to establish that on joining members are consider equal under the laws of this body as we sit as a group in full or a few as family and friend.. Until then we have no WA just a bunch of differences to fight about... that will take attention from causes that need greater attention than debating if a Frog or Dog or Rock or Bush are smarter and only one needs to be a member here. As once they are members they are equal...

I have an even better idea than this proposal! Ban cloning of and the creation of test-tube humans and other intelligent life forms! Then we won't need this revolting proposal.

As for this mess you call a proposal we will not support it for the follow reasons:

1. All clones, humans created in test tubes, all Extraterrestrials, and all nonhuman intelligent lifeforms to have the right to be treated with dignity and respect. All such sentients are to be treated equally by the laws of the member nations of the World Assembly. This should simply read: As members of this WA all members are equal under the laws of this WA... Let no member treat another unfairly... or something to that nature... not single out one member group and set them out as not equal to other members to start with. As if they got in they met the requirements same as all nations did thus are equal to them...

2. Should a nation find it cannot grant equality to a nonnatural human or a nonhuman sentient, the government shall permit the speciel group to leave their territory at the government's expenseThis is the biggest pile of manure here. It is the nation that needs to be made to treat all members equal not individual groups that might make up a nation. A nation is here as a single member group made up of all types of lifeforms.

Also where does this WA have the power to say I have to leave my home if another member comes in after me.. As I'm a clone and all the Cavirrian People are Clones and have lived here long before anyone else has. It is the so called normals or humans who came here... So can we send them, HUMANS, back to where they came... We will glady cover transport cost for them out... as humans are here seen as a 'special group' right above diarea and toothache on our list of things we don't want or need.....

3. All members of the World Assembly shall create commissions to ensure the human rights of clones, artificial humans and nonhuman sentients are protected.Since we consider this allows us to establish this commission from qualified citizens then we here will only have clones on it.. As we have no non clone citizens here just outsiders.. here for a short time to study or for health care.. or just visit our beautiful country...

Not sure if that is how is a resolution is supposed to look Then again the old UN already dealt with this so this will be mute by tomorrow if the old UN returnsAnd we felt that since it had a resolution on the table that did little to cause us to change we let it stand but feel now if we are to start new we need to change our views from old habits to new ones. Where all members once allowed in are equal none below or above the other..... so proposals need to be directed at all members not one single member group..
