I was going to vote for Max Barry Day, simply because without it, we would never have had the chance to vote on Repeal "Max Barry Day."

224. No question. The overwrought language employed by Dashanzi is utterly perfect in removing Fantasan's taint on the UN; especially if you were familiar with his posting style. That Repeal was perfect.

228 is, of course, a close second, but GLOG-speak didn't have the metahumor 224 did. And, I wager 224 opened the door for more tongue-in-cheek Repeals like 228.

#232. One of the very few cases in which the government of St Edmund would accept Sapient Rights as more important than National Sovereignty.

We considered this group long and hard, possibly as long as ten seconds, before affirming that the repeal of Max Barry Day undoubtedly deserves the backing of all right-thinking sentients.

Hmm, ethical dilemma... should I vote for my own repeal? Especially given the remarkably high standard of the rest of the resolutions and repeals (Ban International Trafficking excepted).

I'm glad to see these threads back this year! :)

Given that I still believe repeals are "easier", I didn't vote for one of them.

We voted for Repeal "Common Sense Act II". And the idea that Repeal "End Slavery" was 'easy' to pass is comically sick.

Let's repeal everything except slavery and free trade.:)

Hell, if a spot of vanity voting is good enough for Cob, it's good enough for me ;)

I, too, voted for the Repeal of "Common Sense Act II", on the basis that its language was more, well, elegant than the Repeal of "Max Barry Day".

*Hoicking up skirts to reveal a well-turned ankle and allow free play of the kicking skills that won the Ardchoillean Women's Football League Final some years ago, randomly applies the most sexist provision of Repeal Max Barry Day*
