Proposal: A FREE INTERNET?

An earlier proposal aimed to free the Internet of its bindings and allow anyone to do almost anything, but think of those few people that will use this new found freedom to their own ends. The economy will not cope, sales of objects like Albums and DVD's would drop drastically as they would be available on the internet free and completely LEGAL with no restrictions on reproduction and distribution,
Then come some things that WILL become legal that i dare not mention here

Clearly the bad factors outwheigh the good ones in this case

Clearly, we need a drug test order for you immediately.

Freedom does not negate responsibility. Keep the government out of our freedoms and we will respond responsibly. There is only rebellion when there is something to rebel against. Remove the barrier and encounter liberty.

One major problem surrounding the internet is that in each country the governments have their own policies. Ban this, don't ban that. How on earth are we supposed to follow each law about the internet if they aren't all the same?

The internet SHOULD be restricted, BUT the same laws should be enforced in ALL U.N regions.

As we observed elsewhere (OOC: in the Silly/Illegal Proposals thread), there is no actual proposal contained in this text, and barely any coherent argument. If the honoured ambassador has any concrete things to do to limit access to this medium, we would be interested to hear him. We likely won't agree, but we would be interested all the same.

The internet SHOULD be restricted, BUT the same laws should be enforced in ALL U.N regions. It is this way with any major issue that are far more important than this one. Which we see reason for from you but no solution to an end to any problems.. Once you have some solid solutions for bringing everyone on the same wavelenght then come back and present them. Otherwise you have nothing here but hot air.

The thing is: If you want to communicate with citizens of my nations learn the rules they follow here when in our country. When citizens from our nation visit yours and want to communicate with you they learn the applied rules and follow them thus are able to communicate well with your citizens. If you wish not to communicate with us stay home and we will not come visit your nor spend funds that go into your nation.
