Category: Education and Creativity

Area of Effect: Educational

Description: Many of today's problems can be improved by the increase in funding and government-based support for educational systems. This proposal suggests to :
~Increase funding to educational districts.
~Provide a better learning environment by having low teacher to student ratio's.
~Further research into methods at which students will learn the most.
~Provide free programs intended to keep children focused on bettering themselves and those around them.
~Offer programs for troubled students to stabilize them for the general populace.

And lastly, but not least.
~Ban the sale (not the consumption) of chemical-laden foods in favor of locally-grown foods which not only taste better, but are extremely healthy compared to the chemical garbage available.

The future of all nations depends on the education of our youth, without proper education, society would slowly collapse as a the lack of educated professionals becomes non-existent.

(This can use some work)

Um yeah, an interesting proposal, and one that, with work, may have our support. I think you should tear out that last bit about food though.... it has NO relavance to education.

This is what we refer to as an "empty rhetoric" proposal. The only operative phrasing in here is "increase funding", which is essentially repeating the category description.

If you want to take one or two of your bullet points and flesh them out into an actual idea (rather than the rather bland "programs"), it might pass moderation muster. As it stands ... no.

We should also point out that requiring nations to increase their funding to education, or indeed doing almost anything to it, flys in the face of clause 6 of the UN Educational Aid Act (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=11663193&postcount=172). The proposal as it stands is illegal.

OOC: However simply URGING them to increase funding on these matters (in a proposal of 'Mild' strength) would probably be legal...
