So I submitted a resolution:

Description: Execution of convicted criminals is a barbaric practice that must end -- especially when facts come out that an executed "criminal" is actually victim. If passed, this reolution immediately bans all executions and commutes all death sentences to life without parole.

While it's true, the convicted guy is a victim, the text should should say "innocent" not "victim". Mods, please fix it?

In addition to the grammatical error, your proposal is illegal in that it contradicts Fair Sentencing Act (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=11973198&postcount=181). You should file a Getting Help Request (http://www.nationstates.net/07558/page=help) and ask that it be removed.

As a note, the mods can't edit proposals once they've been submitted. If you notice an error, you need to rewrite and then resubmit the proposal (once you've checked it's legal, etc.).

Mods, please fix it?Since when is a guy who takes a young gal and keeps her locked up for days and rapes abuses her then buries her alive a victum? He is barbaric not the system that finds a tall strong tree and good rope to hang him. The idea of putting a person in prison for life only makes victums out of honest citizens who have to pay to keep them there and give them all the rights folks feel they deserve. When a criminal is found guilty they have no more rights here, only to a speedy execution of their sentence. Thus those to hang do so then those do time are not put up in some five star hotel to do their time from. If they want and need things they must work to get credits for them, no credits then like any citizen can't pay for it they do without it. Even their food and clothing must be paid for in prison as well as their shelter, this is done by them working to earn these items. Medical care is the same as any citizen would get provided they were citizens in good standing when caught for their crime, those not citizens pay for medical care like anyone not covered under our national program.

Since brain altering procedures to rehabilitate criminals is considered tortue and barbaric there is no such thing to us as rehabiltation of ciminals. Those who prove to be life-criminals are hung if they end up going to prison with a sentence over their epected life limit. Example: you are 45 and get sentenced to 50 years in prison so will be 95 since at this time 88 is your life limit then.. you swing from a tall tree and good rope today not tommorrow.

We do not want more welfare here so criminals work to pay for their crimes not add to the welfare systems.

One should not have to waste funds on keeping folks locked up because at some time in future they may be found not guilty of the crime.. They need to be directed at producing systems that correctly fault folks for crimes and only the guilty are tried and convicted.. Why should anyone have to spend life in prison only to find when they dead he should never have been there? Funding keeping them in prison takes from funding procedures as well as people and resources to insure only the guilty are hung or locked up away from that area to maintain them in prison.. As does keeping them in prison for life knowing they will not get out period. As it to us cheaper and wiser to hang and bury one for say 5000 than spend 5000 a year for the next 50 year to keep them locked up.

And please don't go into that old crap of how this guy was executed and later found he didn't do it. As for about everyone you find executed you can find two or more get off because some violation of their rights were done and they only get caught and what they deserve years later and many victums later. Or they should have been doing 50 years in prison but found 'Christ' so got free at 15 years and now have raped, abused, killed more and are right back in the system.
