1. It's not a 'random idea', it's an idea you ripped from the proposals list/Silly Proposals thread. A really bad idea, but even so.

2. Category violation.

3. It's not 'a bit meta-gamish'. It's completely and totally illegal.

4. In case you hadn't worked it out, people not reading resolutions isn't going to be solved by another resolution. Because clearly, they won't read it.

5. Just calm down, a lot. I know you're desperate to pass a resolution, and that's perfectly understandable, but in the wise words of Mr. Flibble, doing so is a marathon, not a sprint. Pick one idea, not 400; think it through carefully to see whether it is a realistic proposition; then post a thread about it. And forget activating verbs or whatever for now: the basic idea is more important than the vague prettiness of presentation.

Okay, okay. Sorry then. Um, would be best to not post for a while then. I should have deleted the original topic before...

Seriously, calm down. Jeez.

I heartily agree with Quod, Silentscope. I would like to get at least one passed myself, but I know what its going to take so I'm not about to rush it. Just as has been said, pick one subject, beit a repeal or new idea, and stick with that one.

Sigh. Alright, sorry, I didn't mean to offend you or make you stop posting altogether. It's just that you have been coming up with a lot of ideas recently, but not really been willing to stick with any of them. Perhaps if you put aside most of them, and concentrated on a single idea, you would have more success (after all, the UN can only vote on one proposal at a time). :):)

I know that I shouldn't stop posting all together. What I was thinking of doing before your post was to post ideas to have a nice list of proposal ideas that are already made. Then, I will be able to pick the proposal idea that has the most support, then run with that. Of course, I now realize the pitfalls of such an idea. :)

Now, my goal is to stop posting and take a look at existing ideas to figure out what one is most effective, then start posting, and run with that.

OOC:

Writing proposals takes forever. You need a lot of time, and a lot of editors. I'm assuming that this is your first nation (at least as far as proposal writing is concerned), SilentScope003, based upon the way you're going about trying to get a proposal up.

This isn't my first nation by a long way, and I've done the work to get a resolution passed (since then, I've noted maybe 3 attempts to repeal it, none serious).

It takes a lot of time, and you need to know what you are trying to get through. Choose an idea and stick with it, convince others that that idea is what needs to be voted on. Once you've got one thing through, then you've got the time to work on another.
