this is my proposal, I hope you all like it.

DO NOT VOTE IF YOU HAVE ALREADY APPROVED MY PROPOSAL.

Repeal "Stop privacy intrusion"
A proposal to repeal a previously passed resolution

Category: Repeal
Resolution: #10
Proposed by: Fahadia

Description: UN Resolution #10: Stop privacy intrusion (Category: Human Rights; Strength: Strong) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument: RECOGNIZING the fact that invasion of privacy is not something that the government should do, but

EMPHASIZING that protection from privacy intrusion is a MORAL PRINCIPLE created by OPINION of former autocratic leaders,

NOTING that other nations may have other views on privacy intrusion.

CONCLUDING that human laws should not be fiddled with by international alliancies or organizations consisting of multiple, loyal, nations.

POST SCRIPTING that privacy intrusion is a right that should be and only be resolved within an independent nationstate.

I agree that privacy intrusion should be decided by the nation itself, not the UN (i.e. a local issue). I approved it as a result

Ok, lets look for problems:

1. Microsoft word Spell check it (nationstate and alliancies)
2. Are you sure that those are good enough reasons? The purpose of the UN is to "help" nations, the UN does this by insuring policies. I'm pretty sure that this will be passed if it makes it out of quroum. I just don't really like the reasons.

ok, see there may be a country that is for privacy intrusion, which may be in the UN (I am sure there are A LOT). That nation will therefore not be granted the right to tap phones, or put security cameras in places during martial law or what not...the point is, privacy intrusion is an issue only to be dealt with by the nation itself, and if fiddled with may lead to rebellion. I know I would put security cameras in public spaces. besides, other nations also may have different views on what exactly privacy intrusion limits are...it is not to be dealt with by international organizations and/or alliances.

Would you like to tell Bahgum's mothers in law that their basic nature and purpose in life is illegal? We wouldn't, so repealing the resolution is, in principle, a good idea. Bahgum does request, however, that some further work is given to the presented proposal.
