UN mod question

Dear moderator,

According to the "Rules For UN Proposals":
# Branding

Limited branding is allowed. "Limited" means that you may list one co-author by nation name only. Example:

"Co-authored by The Most Glorious Hack"

Further branding will result in the Proposal being deleted. Don't list ... nations that have the same name as your region or group and using them to promote your region or group.

By the other hand, Resolution: "Repeal Resolution #18: Hydrogen Powered Vehicles" says in the last line:
"Co-authored by members of (name of the region)".

The issue is that a nation in my region had an idea for a proposal and created a first draft; several nations in the region like the idea and help with it. Since the author is not in the UN, we decided that our UN Delegate is going to present the proposal. Therefore, we want to add in the last line:
Authored by (name of the author) and co-authored by members of (name of the region)

Can we do it?

Thanks for your time.

Not a moderator, but I'm pretty sure that's a no-go.

Just list the author, they deserve most of the credit, anyway. Or, you know, just have the author submit it.

Thanks for your reply by I am going to wait for the Mod for this one, based on the fact that they already allowed this. Perhaps the rule is not valid anymore or perhaps there is a reason for adding "members of (name of the region)".

Also, I want to know if I can say "Authored by" instead of "Co-authored by".

didn't 18 go through before that rule was set, so it was grandfathered in?

I'm not a mod, but I do know the UN Resolution rules like the back of my hand. Putting "Authored by So and So" is fine. However, listing a region as a co-author is not. As you pointed out, there is a resolution with a region listed as a co-author, but that's because it predates the no listing regions as a co-author rule.

I am not talking about Resolution #18. I am talking about the resolution that repeled resolution #18 (sorry if I was not clear enough).

"Repeal Resolution #18: Hydrogen Powered Vehicles" was implemented on Feb 28 2007 and "No listing regions as a co-author rule" is inside a post dated on May 20 2005.

There’s such a thing as editing posts dear. The original post was in May 2005 but the last edit was on the 22-02-2007 at 11:59 AM. The reason offered was “Updating Branding ruling.”

I know "dear".
I also used it, "dear".
Thanks "dear".

Thanks for the info, I did not read the Edit line before the post. Seems that the mentioned resolution was the reason for the "Edit".

If "Authored by" instead of "Co-authored by" is allowed, I have no more questions.
Thanks all.

I believe that repeal was the reason for the updated ruling in the first place.

Glad you got what you were looking for, CID.

One mention of one nation is allowed. No regions or groups are allowed. If you want to use "Authored" rather than "Co-authored", that's fine with me.
