Just wondering something as this is the first time I've had a proposal deleted by mods.

Why is my list of approvals appended to the TG.

If I resubmit with the violation fixed will the approvals count?

No. When they deleted my proposal (also Repeal "Individual Self-Determination", also for an Honest Mistake) they also appended the approvals. It's done as an aid: it can be helpful for people who conduct regular telegram campaigns, as they can start off by TGing those who previously approved their proposal, and are quite likely to get reapprovals off them. If you got a lot of approvals, it can save a lot of work, as opposed to starting from scratch again. Obviously, if you are using a script to send TGs, it's of less consequence.

It's a courtesy when we are deleting a proposal for reasons other than it being idiotic, primarily when it's close to quorum. If the only names there are WZForums and the dozen or so auto-approvers, we don't bother.

Obviously, if you are using a script to send TGs, you're violating Salusa's script rules (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=5812823&postcount=59). Anyone who is automating (or thinking of automating) telegram campaigns, make SURE you read that post.

I think it's script in the sense of a form letter. Correct? A program to automate anything is still illegal.

auto-approvers??

those who approve EVERY proposal??

And no I never use a script to tg. Not even sure what a script is or how to make one.:)

Yes. It's exactly what WZ Forums is known for. I can't remember the last time I didn't see WZ Forums listed in the approval list for a proposal that was more than a few days old.

That would have been a few months ago, when we deleted the six-nation multi ring that were his only endorsers. It took multi-boy a few days to create a new UN nation (just one, we checked) to put him back on the delegate list.

(Wasn't some friendly invader type going to arrange a raid on his region at some point? C'mon. Somebody? Anybody?)

Not exactly. The rules are quite specific, but some automation is certainly allowed. If you know how to write scripts, click the link. If you don't know how, don't worry about it.

The best justification for that, IMO, is that if conscientious UN delegates have to read all the bad proposals that get submitted, the rest of the UN should have to as well.

God knows I agree with that. I wander over, fire up the bulldozer and plow through the drek dutifully every few days.
Two kinds of proposals in my mind
1. Good succinct proposals
2. All the rest(muddled drek that shouldn't see the light of day)

*I swear if I see many more legalize drugs proposals I may have to hunt these idiots down and beat them to death with their keyboards*
And I'm not a violent person either......
