Repeal "Common Sense Act II"
A proposal to repeal a previously passed resolution

Category: Repeal
Resolution: #30
Proposed by: Morulcrow

Description: UN Resolution #30: Common Sense Act II (Category: Human Rights; Strength: Significant) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument: This, itself is, common sense. Law is justice and fair, thus this resolution is redundant. We should null this to remove unnecessary resolution.

Simply, "Law" does not equate to "Justice", nor does it automatically equal "Fair". There is a reason that they are three separate words.

Your one and only argument is fallacious, but keep trying.

Hi Kivisto,

How about this?

NOTING that resolution #30 itself is common sense.

IN addition that law is impartial, it is the balancing of people's interests, and its has valid reason for itself.

THEREFORE resolution #30 is redundant.

MAKING a stand that we should null this to remove unnecessary resolution.

The Logopian Government would like to see Common Sense Act repealed, albeit not for the reasons stated by the highly esteemed representative from Murclow.

Our quarrel with Common Sense Act comes from is considering "1:Burning oneself with a hot beverage, such as coffee. " as Idiotic Negligence. We believe stablishments serving food and beverages should be responsible about the temperature at wich their products are served. Furthermore, we believe those stablishments should be held accountable, both civil and criminally, when they serve their products in dangerous conditions. Clearly there is some degree of responsibility when an stablishment serves coffee at 180°F (~82°C) and a customer sustains 3rd degree burns from it.

While we applaud the intent of CSA of reducing or eliminating frivolous lawsuits, we see it as not effectively written and as so we'd support it's repeal.

The Government of Qadesh would like to support the resolution as it currently is written. The Government believes that Resolution #30 goes far in eliminating costs associated with lawsuits, and could go far in helping people to accept personal responsibility for their actions.

Signed,

The Delegate of the Protectorate of Qadesh reporting to the UN

Dear Delegate of the Protectorate of Qadesh,

Can you explain how far does resolution #30 eliminate costs associated with lawsuits? and how far this could help people to accept personal responsibilty for their action?
