I am relatively new to the game. I am trying to figure out what advantages there are to joining the U.N. So why should I join the U.N.?

Well, it is simply an addition to the game.

The UN allows you to make even more decisions, meet new people, and overall gain a better understanding of the game and what it is striving to be.

Without the UN there would be a serious community lacking --- almost as bad as if the forums just suddenly disappeared. :sniper:

What I'm basically trying to say is that if you want to get deeper into the game, you need to do more than just manage your country; joining the UN, forums, and other regions are prime ways of doing it.

You get to associate with such a fine reprobate....err...upstanding individual such as Sen. Horatio Sulla. You might get to ogle the Thessadorian Ambassador, and if you're really lucky Her Imperial Hotness, Empress Jhessan (http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f235/HoratioSulla/shirow/Jspaulding.jpg) might show up for a debate, in these hallowed halls we loving refer to as the snake pit...errr...the General Assembly.:D

Well, as well as the usual perks of clothing optional pools, a good bar, a hot foreign diplomatic staff, there's also the fun of diplomatic immunity, plus the occaisional aeroplane dogfight
