Legalization of Marajuana

JoBuster
23-06-2007, 00:16
A resolution to ban, legalize, or encourage recreational drugs.

Category: Recreational Drug Use
Decision: Legalize
Proposed by: JoBuster

Description: We in the Country of JoBuster believe that Marajuana should be legailized in all member countries as a legal drug that can be perscribed by doctors for various ailments to be decided at the doctors discretion.

Noting many countries already allow the use of medicinal marajuana

Believing that medicinal marajuana could be very helpful in certain patients.

Please see that by supporting this proposal would be supporting the many sick people who could endure less pain if they could have marajuana legally

Would u guys vote for or against and lets get some support for it goin and get it to vote

Sorry, but your proposal is illegal for branding, duplication and contradiction.

It duplicates and contradicts the UN Drug Act (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12131355&postcount=192).

I'm afraid you'll have to be more strict on the judgement of when's a good time to use possably addictive drugs medically. I am not satisfied with the idea of doctors putting people on marijuana whenever they feel it's the right circumstance. I will only approve the medical use of marijuana under the strict rule that the patient be near death. So that their passing will be easy and they won't live to become at all addictive. Until then my answer is ney.

But marijuana isn't an addictive substance. It does not cause physiological dependance. Yes, it can cause a psychological addcition, but that is only for weak-minded individuals.

You also misspelled marijuana.

Maybe they've been smoking too much of it?

I kid, I kid.

Seriously, though, we'd be opposed to this. While recreational drugs are legal in Altanar, we see no reason to impose our stance concerning drugs on the rest of the world. Drug laws should be left to individual nations to decide.

"The properties of the drug are irrelevant. There are already measures in place dealing with this activity. Disregarding its illegalities, this proposal is unnecessary, as this is an issue sovereign nations deal with every day. Attempting to universalize such a tiny area of effect is not particularly worthwhile. It will need to be expanded upon in order to become serious legislation."

OOC: JoBuster, please don't say 'u' instead of 'you.' It makes you look worse than you are. Furthermore, 'you' is only two characters longer, which will cost you nil in time spent typing the whole thing.

In addition, please compose everything in a word processor or a browser with inline spell checking, and then paste it here.

Agreed with the delegation of Karmicaria. However, it seems that this proposal already made it to the cutting block in the UN's query for review... so, the bureaucracy will just have to run it's course with this one, I suppose.

Nah, one of the mods will whack it for being illegal when they have the time.

Thank Goodness. Honestly, it doesn't look like it would stand a chance either way.

Phychological addiction is exactly what I was talking about! Just because they don't collapse if they go into withdrawal dosen't mean it dosen't skrew up these "weak-minded" peoples lives and I said POSSABLE. It's something one should only use when there's nothing to risk.

Our nation produces a wonderful beverage called "Marajuana" - I don't see any reason for legislation on the matter.

This is something for individual nations to decide on. International coorporation is not needed for the legalisation of any drug.

Something I forgot to mention before. If you wanted to legalize medical marijuana you should have made a proposal to repeal the international drug law in order to set up this proposal afterward. You should pursue this issue in that manner instead. Your going to have to do it that way because the game administrators are going to nuke this poll whether you like it or not.
