Withdrawing From UN

Commonalitarianism
15-06-2007, 13:28
After considerable thought, the United Arcologies of Commonalitarianism is Withdrawing From The United Nations. Unfortunately, we find the UN voters tendencies to support legislation focused on excessive taxation in favor of unnecessarily promoting worthy individuals to heights of glory on the government payroll to be onerous.

We are in many ways the most liberal of nations, but even with this bent we find the tax burden we suffer from this august body to be excessive. The urge to support social programs rather than provide the means for people to engage in commerce and be self supportive is also onerous.

We are far from a pure capitalist country, but even here the UN tends toward socialism and government control, rather than supporting a mixed economy with some price controls and a form of capitalism.

Your tax rate is more influenced by the decisions you make with issues, not with the UN. I'm in the UN, my tax rate is 0%

Still, I'm bagsying your office.

Damn! I was going to that, but you beat me to it. I don't even have an office here yet!

Speaking of which, who do I talk to about that?

I'll rent it to you. It's fully furnished, you'll just have to remove the Commonalitarianism flags :D

Might have to redo the interior though, Commonalitarianism isn't exactly known for it's financial management skills - they have let it become rather grubby in places.

Er...in that case, no thanks. I think I'll wait until I can get something a little more suitable.

Still, I'm bagsying your office.Yeah, I think that line's been done to death.

And I haven't a clue what the hell Commonalitarianism is even talking about.

I think our esteemed colleague is saying the UN is anti-capitalist and is too fond of taxes.

Or something.

Or something. He must have been absent when all those free trade accords passed. And the funding act failed.

Shoot...
I want a freakin office.
I've been in the motorhome in the parking lot all this time.

I'd rather go home, and do video-conferencing from there.

"It is very rare that I come and actually state a message on my own but I found this speach by Mr. Smiley as hilariously overrated. I want to see your proof of these aligations in the form of UN Resolution numbers that you feel are threatening your economy and raising your tax rates. Until such a time as you can come up with this data, we will just consider your complaints and foolhardy and file them under T for 'Trash Can'."

I think your just over reacting, and im from a Pro-Capitalist Nation. The UN taxing if it would have passed would be a miniscule sum at best. if thats not what your mad about i am sooooo lost.

Damn! I was going to that, but you beat me to it. I don't even have an office here yet!
