Dear Great Rulers
Excuse me
can i have some help making a proposal for the research and design of Robotic or clone armies.
Or if this has already been 'researched' then can i have some help in the making of a proposal about using or the production clone soldiers (like starwars episode 2+3 or robots like I robot)
Sincere thanks

Honorable Delegate from MouldyReich:
To have a robotic or clone army for your country is completely up to your government.
However, I believe, according to the UN Conventions, the United Nations is not allowed to create a standing military or police force.
Of course, I could be wrong...
Respectfully,
The Honorable Marcus Diegaus III, Ph.D.
Envoy Extraordinary
Deputy Representative to the United Nations

You are correct. The UN cannot create, possess, or operate a police or military force of any kind.

ooc: not every nation is on the same technology level. i.g. Cookesland is a modern tech nation so sapient cyborgs walking around would be a little anachronistic.

OOC: :p It's perfectly normal for the Commonwealth, only with the dog-thing added in as well. It's more fun to be anachronistic.
To MouldyReich, if you so desire to RP that, then do so. Nothing to do with the UN, though.

W yes you can! CSUVS (Capital City University of Various Sciences), has just the thing- we are planning to have an anthropomorphic robot within 3 years, and might field a prototype Robot warrior in just 10 years. CSUVS will be quite happy to share our designs for a price or preferably do a joint project if you have a similar level of technology in this field.

I don't see how it's any of the UN's business. Unless of course we end up having to declare that sapient robots are just as much people as clones are.

He wants to have research funding for clone armies, through the UN.

I don't think the UN should be cloning around like that. :D

He'd have to fund the UN first.

He'd have to fund the UN first.
OOC: LOL! Excellent reference!
IC: "I daresay that that encroaches upon the UN creating an army itself, which is not permitted."

I do not see why robotic or clone armies should be of concern to the UN.

We can offer you open source solutions towards clone development. Mind you, there are some bugs. Would you care to join our Beta?

There's already a resolution in force that requires all UN nations to grant clones the same right as non-clones, so producing clones specifically for some a particular role (such as military service) would probably be illegal... although maybe not if you followed the same practice with your non-clone populace too...
