Illegal immigration

hiya, im sorta a newbie at NS but my region, deep south was doing pretty well and we elected a delegate in order to introduce some better written and formatted resolutions. Obviously there are a lot of rules pertinent to the field of proposal creation. After examining the bills that had been submitted, we made the decision to post a resolution that pertained to bills be discussed while representing our small government, good people beliefs. this was Immigration safety, Immigrant Safety or something to that effect. an unforseen consequence of posting the resolution was that the numbers that would allow members to reference individual lines were ushered to the beginning, the resolution's wording began long after.Far from being a crackpot oke, this was an honest mistake and we were fairly certain that the editing process would clean this up no problem. Unfortunately, the resolution was purged and we now find ourselves facing expulsion with the submission of two more "frivolous" resolutions. Most importantly, though was that the resolution was lost when it was deleted, the writer and co writer failed to save it again, failing to forsee the deletion of hte resolution. Is there any way we can bring it back, edit it, or at least get the text back?

I'd say that that's it Cob, considering the comment about the numbers. I distinctly remember putting that one in the Silly Proposals thread, so you can thank me for a copy of the text being available.

First off, you need to read this thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=420465) as it contains the rules regarding UN Proposals, and any proposals which fail to meet those guidelines will be deleted.

Now, let's take a look at your proposal, first off get rid of the number thing, it's unnecessary and is a waste of characters.
Preamble:
Whereas information regarding illegal immigration shows it to be a great danger to the nation, and whereas illegal immigration represents a far graver risk to the millions of illegal immigrants and possible illegal immigrants, the United Nations hereby begins action to achieve operational control on all borders,First problem, the way this is worded it sounds like the UN itself will be taking control of nation's borders, which makes me say,"With what?" The UN doesn't have a military of a police force, and in fact can't have them under the previously mentioned proposal rules.
continue to supply unstable nations with economic and political support, while assimilating all current illegal immigrants. And you've just lost at least one vote (that being mine) why should we reward someone who breaks the law by entering a nation illegally by making them legal.

SECTION 1:
This section directs Sovereign nations to take all actions
necessary and appropriate to achieve and maintain operational control over the
entire land and maritime border of their nations though systematic
surveillance coverage, additional physical infrastructure, hiring all Border Patrol
agents required, and properly deploying Border Patrol agents to high risk areas and other impacted border areas. Included powers that may be exercised:
a. Building of a wall along the borders with federal emergency and state fundingOK, why emergency funds? Wouldn't it be better to use those funds for an actual emergency?
b. Deploying Border Patrol agents and military units as the nations sees fit

SECTION 2:
This section directs nations, to alleviate the crime and poverty levels found in developing nations through political and economic influence. Included powers and funds that may be exercised or utilized:
a. Trade tariffs and trade barriers between all nations may be adjusted to benefit the developing economies so long as the adjustments are approved by all parties involved before the implementation of changes

SECTION 3:
This section directs developed nations to help illegal immigrants who arrive before April 10, 2007Stop, remove all dates. The simple truth is that you don't know when your proposal will become a resolution, so having dates in a proposal just makes it confusing (and that's not mentioning the fact that some people RP their nation in a different time).
to attain citizenship, and assimilate into the society while remaining respectful of the immigrants previous national heritage and culture. Included programs and funds that must be created:
a. All people of foreign heritage in America as of March 31, 2007 will have four months following the activation of this bill to enroll as citizensAnd here we run into a RL reference, it needs to be fixed as according to the proposal rules they can't be in proposals.
b. After this date, those who are unenrolled will be deported

SECTION 4:
This bill will take effect seven months after passage.Eliminate this entire section, all UN Resolutions go into effect immediately upon passage, no exceptions.
