The No Tree Left Behind Proposal states that anyone in the Greater Germany Region who cuts down a tree or any other kind of wild life has (10) days to replace the tree or plant, or else they will serve (3) years of community service, and or have to pay fines up to 10,000 New DM'S.

I'm glad you haven't posted this as a proposal, as it's illegal in multiple ways. If you want to create regional law, go right ahead and get the approval of your regionmates, but you can't make UN law that affects only a subset of UN members.

As for globalizing this by removing the regional references, I suspect you'll see a lot of resistance.

So is this a satire of the Bush Administration's terrible education policy and the NSUNs frequently bad environmental proposals?

Because if so, the satirists are out in full force today.

If not, then you really need to take a look at the rules sticky (at the top of the UN forum page) and perhaps take a look at some of the better resolutions passed by this auster and occaisonally flatulent body.

Well, this can be closed my so called "Advisory Council" decided to move to a new region, therefore eliminating the cause of the bill, just a suggestion. Actually, now I realize, it is a stupid suggestion / proposal.

its actually a good idea. think of the future in this way you would be telling your people that the children will have the land once you are gone... is this the land you wish to give them? one with barren lands and numerous cities that have taken over once lush forrests and oxygen rich areas of earth? or a green world where people live in harmony with nature and stay in balance with it.

I think I'm going to be ill.

There are cries of "Run, forest, run!" from the Gobbannaen delegation, which the ambassador eventually manages to quieten down.

"While we agree that the fundamental underlying concern of protecting environmental heritage is entirely laudable, and indeed have been toying with proposals in the area for some while, we do not believe that the proposition of the New Socialist Republic of Germany is at all a reasonable way to achieve that goal."

The trees that once existed in our fine nation were all cut and dragged away, without exception. We are dedicated to ensuring that no tree continues to bear the burden of an unfair existence on the meager resources of dirt and water. All trees deserve a more developed, refined existence than that which they would find in a state of nature, competing for what little nutrition they can manage to squeeze from the land, constantly threatened by the attacks of other vegetation. HotRodia has never left a tree behind to face the nasty and brutish dangers of the untamed wild, and never will.

Considering the proposer has decreed that this proposal will not be continuing, wouldn't it be appropriate to move on. Certainly if individuals such as the representative of Sionist wishes to make his own proposal, he can do so within his own drafting thread.

EDIT: Note

Well, this can be closed
