/sigh. I actually made this idea in the past with a previous nation, but then I idled out. Anyway, I changed my nation and my ideology...so...

IC: The diplomat produces his propsal

"The whole world has been engulfed in wars. Many nations live in peace, but other nations destroy each other.

Now, we are of the peaceful nations. Our small nation does not involve ourselves in warfare...but we know that war is happening, and that we desire for it to end.

But we don't want to enforce our government onto others. This is not an alliance for "democracy" or for "socialism". We all are humans, and we don't want to start any sort of imperialist cursade.

For this reason, we should not put in any United Nations military. A World Police will lead to a world dictatorship, which no one wants.

So...

RECOGNISING the many wars that occur in this world

NOTING that these conflicts harm innocent people and often times halting progress,

BELIVING that peace is necessary for progress in the world today,

DESIRING that a stable process be made in other to help be conductive towards ending wars,

The United Nations therefore...

RECOMMENDS an end to all present conflicts in the near future,

CREATE an international body that will be in charge of this goal, "United Nations Peace Foundation" in order to help this recommenditon,

STATES that the main goal of the UN Peace Foundation is to establish peace throughout the world,

ESTABLISHES "UN Peace Foundation" branches in all regions (in the nation of the regional delegate) in order to monitor the political situation of the region,

ENTRUSTS the "UN Peace Foundation" with the powers of using diplomacy to bring all warring parties together for peace talks in order to help bring an end to the many conflicts in the world,

FURTHER ENTRUSTS the "UN Peace Foundation" with the power of releasing individual reports on the many conflicts in the world, as to inform the world as to what is going on, as well as a General 'State of the World' report that states how violent or peaceful the world is as a whole,

FORBIDS the "UN Peace Foundation" from using any sort of violence to accomplish its aim.

REQUESTS that people from all nations, even those outside of the United Nations, lend assistance and help to the UN Peace Foundation.

This organization is just a group of national diplomats with the main goal of flying from country to country to broker peace treaties. I like something to this effect be codified, but if there is other ways to establish peace, that would be nice.

(All one have to do is search in International Incidents to note the many wars that occurs...and therefore, I see that it might be nice to play off this by noting it here.)

Any suggestions? Ideas? Sponsers?

I like peace as much as the next guy, but that is entirely debatable. Many important and some might say necessary changes in the world where brought about by and/or because of war.

DESIRING that a stable process be made in other to help be conductive towards ending wars,

...be made in other to help be conductive... some English teacher somwhere just had a brain anuerism and died. Using a bunch of unneccessary words doesn't make you sound smarter, just harder to understand, exactly the opposite of what any proposal wants to accomplish.

Also recommends 5 daily servings of fruits and vegetables, and not smoking when pregnant.

Does a body dedicated to world peace and unity need to creat a foundation to do what it already tries to do?

So is the NSUN. This is probably the best example of AUC (Another Usless Commitee) in the history of the UN.

You do realize that non-UN nations are entirley outside UN jurisdiction, and that this could only be done in a region that is 100% popluated by UN Nations. I'd also like to point out that no region like that exists, although there are anti-UN regions with a 0% UN population...I wonder how they'd react if this was somehow legal...

The power of diplomacy is entrustable? I thought it was a skill, not a power. Can the UN entrust me with the power of invisibility and X-Ray vision?

Wow, the power of diplomacy and the power to release reports! We should just retire Superman, the Justice League, and the Avengers right now, their powers pale in comparison.

Good, if they did use violence they'd be a UN Army. Although, I have to wonder how you stop war when 70% of the world is outside UN jurisdiction, and you can't use violence...hmmmm....

Man, this is one long proposal that accomplished absolutley nothing but establishing an impotent and %110 (read: impossibly) useless foundation that does what the NSUN is supposed to do anyways. Althought you got the formatting right, and had some decent writing, it was put to waste in one of the worst proposals I've ever read. Just thank God you put it here before submitting it...right?

On a brighter note, it sure was fun to rip apart, and made my day.

Hey, at least it's better to be ripped here, with you providing good reasons while it stunk. Strange though, when I submitted it a long time ago, it got a lot of supporters. Must have been simpiler...

What I am wondering is another propsal...legalizing the use of invasions to enforce human right violations. But that would be stupid. It won't lead to the use of UN Army...but it will act as a resolution that would-be dictators would use in order to destroy their enemies, claiming they are fighting 'human rights abuses'. It would just be silly.

Hm...how about this? Do you have any ideas in order to help 'promote peace'? No Awards idea though, I think that would stink pretty much.
