Proposal: Repeal 'Extraordinary Rendition'

Delegates and Member States,

We are all aware of the threat posed by terrorism. Whether domestic or international, the rise of terrorist networks is a disturbing trend every nation must face.

Presently, member states of the United Nations face legal restrictions that are crippling our ability to fight terrorists. Overreaching, poorly-worded and draconian statutes prevent the civilized nations of the world from working together to staunch the spread of terrorism.

This is why several UN member states have come together to try to repeal UN Resolution #193, which prevents sovereign countries from using appropriate means to track down and prosecute terrorists. Presently, our proposal needs the support of approximately one hundred more delegates to be put up for a vote.

The proposal is entitled "Repeal 'Extraordinary Rendition.'" Keep in mind that there are two of these proposals in existence; we urge you to support the one drafted by The Federation of Militant Territories.

We ask delegates to support this crucial initiative, and we ask member states to write their delegates urging them to support it, so that the nations of the world may once again be free to protect the safety and lives of their citizens.

Thank you for your time.
