The tax rates for nations are a little to high. I propose that there be a limit on income tax, say thirty percent. Some exclusions to this could be if the amount over thirty percent was being used for education, environment, industrial advancement, etc.

P.S.
Im new at this so please don't leave harrasing comments that bash my proposal and tell me that im a dumb ass;)

You're not a dumbass, but you don't realize yet that you can't change game mechanics via UN proposals. Regardless of what the General Assembly votes in, nations will still have income tax rates in excess of 100%, and some of them will like it.

Read the Rules of UN Proposals (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=420465) sticky thread, Game Mechanics section, and then see if you can come up with something legal.

Sorry, but the Ambassador's in the bar so you're stuck with me, and I don't do polite even to him.

You're going to have to define that 'etc' of yours, because as it is it looks like everything's going to be in the exception apart from pure bureaucracy, and even I couldn't justify a 30% tax take for us bureaucrats without breaking out laughing. It won't fly as is.

(OOC: sorry, I decided to keep the Ambassador out of debates he wasn't already in tonight since I stuck him in the bar, and Cerys is a lot more hard-arsed than he is. Besides, asking people not to bash you in this place is just asking for trouble!)

Sorry, I don't think the gameplay mechanics allows you to do that. Besides some of the more nationalist goverments would not appreciate a foreign agency (like UN) meddling in something that is obviously an internal issue.
