The War Loving People
03-03-2007, 00:06
I propose that there be a world military and that there be atleast one base in each region controlled jointly by the UN as well as that Regions leaders. I also propose there be mandatory service for all convicted non-violent criminals after regular sentencing and youth convicted of non-violent crimes.
Please support this proposition inorder to help make a better and safer world.

Please ignore the peanut gallery, and welcome to the UN. Your proposal, though well-intentioned, would be against the game rules and therefore illegal. A UN military is explicitly banned.

You are a complete and total idiot. Why would you want to have an international army, that is led by the U.N. and the other nations. Who would it fight against?! Who would it protect?! You should be put in jail just so that we don't have to listen to you! Good Lord, how can you be so dumb?! You should do yourself a favor and stop playing this game. It's obvious that you don't know how to play, and therefore, you shouldn't even try to run a nation. This smilie shows you exactly what you should do for the rest of your life.....:headbang:

I think this is one of the things that is explicitly prohibited in the UN. Sorry, while as cool as an international army sound to some people, it simply is not allowed.

Seabear70 would withdraw from the UN rather than allow foreign military or armed criminals to occupy our territory.

Furthermore, if this were to pass, we would propose a multi-region alliance to stop the UN from attempting to undermine our sovereignty.

In conclusion the UN will not be allowed, and cannot be allowed to become a government of its own. The enactment of military powers by the UN would threaten the governments of all nations whether members or not.

OOC: Well, it's nice to know everybody gets the same welcome here...

Though I gotta agree, that's a bad idea on so many levels.

I think this is one of the things that is explicitly prohibited in the UN.Not explicitly, but yeah, it is something that comes up on an all too regular basis.

As for the second bit (mandatory service), it'll get slightly more support, and might be legal, but is unlikely to be broadly supported.
