Like it or leave it. I'm not a part of it because I don't like many of the resolutions or outside control of my nation.

You were never stopped from picking those choices. Decides, if you really don't like it, but would like to try to join, than why don't you make a puppet nation, and join with that.

Are you a UN member? If not, then you don't have to worry about it. If you are, then you only have yourself to blame.

You have a few options, should you want to keep a UN nation. First, just learn to deal with the statistic effects of UN resolutions and decide daily issues to "correct" any effects you don't particularly like. Second, you could create a second nation that would act as your UN nation*. Third, you could participate in UN discussions without having a nation in the UN. Membership in the UN is not a requirement for interaction on this forum.

*Transferring membership requires first resigning from the UN and then signing up the second nation for UN membership. It is very, very important to not have multiple UN members active from the same computer. Check out the rules in the Moderation forum if this is at all unclear.

I agree, the UN sucks! That's why I quit. However, there's no point in bitching about it, at least not OOC (though Simon Blue doesn't mind some IC bitching about how the UN destroyed Sirat).
