Anti Tony Act

Duponte

The act was all satire, I love how It got me kicked out of the UN when none of it was true, even at the end it said that it would offend everyone and show just how corrupt the proposals have gotten, further more someone actualy endorsed it. I have a friend named Tony and we agreed to use this as a way to point out how things are getting a little out of control, sadly people aren't smart enough to pick up on the part that signals "This is a piece of Political Satire ment to teach a lesson". Tony's are awesome our new proposals are not. -Duponte I believe I should be re accepted to the nation, if you look at the proposal I was clearly using this as political satire.

The rules say "don't submit joke proposals."

It's fine to write them, but if you submit them, you're out of luck.

But, if I can't submit my proposal to give everyone the right to arm bears, what's the point of joining the UN?

Maybe for people like Duponte, we need to resurrect the "Silly/Illegal Proposal Contest" that Frisbeeteria and I started awhile back. He has a ways to go to catch up to the "Here's Your Sign Act" and my immortal "Do Something" proposal, but we might have us a creative writer on our hands.

I don't think anything could ever beat the hippos or inflatible Gandalfs.

Tony's are awesome our new proposals are not.Cry me a river why don't you. If you had looked at the proposal rules for one second you'd have know not to submit your proposal. Furthermore, one of the approvals your proposal recieved was from WZ Forums, and as any UN Forum regular can tell you, they approve everything.

I know of one nation who was allowed back into the UN after being kicked out, and you're not it. Hopefully you understand that while satire may have it's place, in UN proposals is not it.

I'm going to continue to push for more enforcement upon these proposals, I did mine for a reason, and I'm glad mine got stopped, and I used it to gain public notice of the issue at hand, these proposals are getting more stupid every day, lets make some standard here, i mean there has been proposals on necrophelia...I made that proposal not for a laugh, but through strong actions to prove a point, politically the best way to get everyones attention, was to do the extreme of what I was talking about, however there was that shred of disclaimer so all knew it was satire, it is there to gain awareness on the issue of these stupid silly proposals, we need to enact higher standards, and I am devoting myself to cleaning them up, in anyway I will use any politic neccisary to clean out the corruption in our proposals. I accept the consequences for my protest, I accept them only instide with with the awareness it creates. Lets end this madness and clean out these stupid proposals, so many skim by legaly, but are just plain silly. Take up arms, arms in word.

I hate to break this to you buddy, but your Anti Tony Act didn't receive much publicity. I for one, hadn't heard of it, and I check the list regularly. There are stupid proposals every day, and we have learned to ignore them. The spammers don't learn when their proposals are deleted, nor will they learn if you make satiric proposals. I would suggest you concentrate your efforts on real UN proposals instead...

It is not the spammers I wish to adress, but those with control, and it did get publicity, if you came here and read this.

How could that be viewed as anything other than moronic idiocy?

A Modest Proposal is good satire. The Daily Show is good satire.

The Anti-Tony Act?

The only thing more stupid than the proposal itself is the fact that the author is trying to pass it off as intentional.

Turning off ignore for a moment.

This post is completely out of character and should be taken as such.
There was some humour involved in some of this discussion. It ain't even remotely funny anymore. It has devolved into flaming, flame baiting and trolling. It really isn't appreciated. It needs to stop.

If anyone was flaming, it was you, you just can't get it through your thick head, this wasn't for laughs, you guys really need to get off your high horse, you are the root of this problem, you think you know everything and are trying to turn me in as some prankster, if anyone is at fault, its you for being rude, and above all ignorant, you odviously don't read anything I say, or yuo do and just don't aknowledge it. If anyone is flaming it is you, and you need to be stopped, at least for being rude.

Calm down. No, the others were not flaming. As mentioned, there was some humour in the discussion, but quickly faded and turned into flaming, flame-baiting and trolling.

It would be best if you just let the whole thing drop. Leave it be.

As for the others, they've been at this for a long time and know what they're talking about.

Edit: After reading over the thread again, yes, there were a few others that were flaming, but still you do need to calm down.

Really? Where? There's nothing in moderation about it at all. Which guy did you bring it to? Where is your evidence of anything. For what it's worth, and for the record, all I said to you was, in this thread:

I bagsy Tony.

What?

and from the other thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12249656&postcount=2), which has already, thankfully, been locked:

Are you still here? Dude, we don't care. We aren't the ones that need to hear any message about what is being submitted into the list. We are fully aware, and we generally don't even notice when someone gets booted from the UN for being stupid. That is unless they go running around the GA hollering about why they thought they could get away with breaking the rules.

Seriously, though, you messed up. It happens. Move on with your life. Create a puppet nation, enter that into the UN, and don't do it again. I might suggest reading through the currently binding rules for UN proposals. They can easily be found near the top of the forum. Run along now.

To be clear: this is me switching my Duponte settings to IGNORE and suggesting that others do the same.

Bye, now.

You are now claiming that I have flamed you in some fashion. How? Where? If you intend to claim that my statement earlier on this page (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12251236&postcount=19) that this thread was moving towards the fire was a direct attack upon you, then you're going to need some form of reasoning to back that up. As it is, all you are doing is roughly the equivalent of "yo mamma". It's tedious and irritating, and begging for return insult. That is flamebaiting. You have fired off a number of insults at others, some provoked, but many not. That is flaming. You continue to make declarations and statements that serve no purpose but to instigate argument. That is trolling (one form thereof, by my definition). You have now made a claim that you have reported everything that has occured where there is no record whatsoever that any such thing has happened. That would, at the very least appear to, be a lie. One that, I can only guess, would serve to keep anyone else from bringing it to the mods.

I am no mod. I am a fellow player who is asking you, one player to another, for the end purpose of all of us improving our enjoyment of the game, PLEASE stop. If you feel the need to continue this form of interaction, please take it elsewhere where it might be more appreciated. It is accomplishing nothing here, except to earn you a bad reputation.

Listen, I wanted you to stop acting rude and hostile, one of the people on the nation states staff, i emailed adressed that, and said that in do time the accounts who I turned in (including yours) will be banned from nation states period, IP and all. However, I did tell him he wouldn't have to if I recieved a formal apology.

Duponte, why don't you just read threads for a while and hold off on posting.

The rest of you (and I can't be bothered to sort out whom), try laying off the newbies from time to time.

Thread closed.

Now you're just plain lying. That's not an offer we make, especially when the evidence is right here for everyone to see. You're as guilty as anyone in this thread, Duponte, and when we add in the mods-as-a-weapon, it escalates.

Now shut up before I have to take official notice.
