Vertical Farming

I am interested in the implementation of vertical or "scyscrapper" farming. I am having difficulty formulating a draft for any resolution pertaining to it because I do not know what category it should fall under, none of the available ones seem to fit. It's a concept that is potentially good for the enviroment and would increase the standard of living for people but I do not believe that it would have a negative impact on industry (except maybe traditional agriculture?). What should I do?
Information on Vertical Farming can be found here:http://www.verticalfarm.com/
And here's a wiki article for the lazy:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertical_Farming

As many people will tell you, it is best to choose a category, then make the proposal. If you make the proposal then choose the category, there is a good chance it will be deleted for category violation.
I don't necessarily agree with my colleague from Euphobes. Having a concept for a proposal before choosing category can work out if drafted properly. I don't know that a resolution about Vertical Farming would fall into anything but Environmental. It may not be a great fit, but that's probably the most appropriate one.

I agree with my colleague from Kivisto. "Writing to category" is an approach that has been suggested by a moderator and certainly keeps people from being frustrated by category violations. But I don't think that should be the only approach. If members have ideas they are enthusiatic about and willing to research, we'd hate to have them discouraged by not being able to first identify a category. Who knows, we might be able to learn something from them.
That seems to be the case here. We'd suggest the representative of The Shaimung Dynasty get his ideas together, do up a first, rough draft of a proposal, and post the draft. If the idea seems worth while, experienced members will pitch in to help with the category issue, we're sure.

For my two cents, I think it could fit in Education and Creativity: Educational if it focused on helping farmers learn how to use these better techniques.

As the Grand Utoy of Steweystan, I would be most interested in reading a proposal about such techniques, as it would greatly increase agricultural productivity, while cutting down in the need to expand horizontally into ecological areas. Please, draft up your proposal, and we will gladly give our input.

Just make sure that that copy is submitted here on the forums and not over on the main site. That way you can avoid the pitfalls of legality problems, spelling & grammar errors, etc.

We use multistory integrated organic farming. We can use multistory integrated organic farming because it is a sealed highly monitored environment, so less pesticides are used. It also protects part of our food supply from biological warfare, and environmental disasters. This would be an excellent farming source for the antarctic. It would also further industry if more land and better techniques are made available for farming-- Furtherment of industry-- farming.

I agree with some points, although it does not help prevent loss of crops due to warfare, it merely causes them to use different methods. Sure they can't spray virus's all over your crops, but a series of explosions can take these "skyskraper cropfields" down.
