RECOGNIZING that some UN resolutions force culturally unacepttable changes upon the population of a UN member nation
PRAISING that some further the political rights of individuals
CONDEMMING that some are in blatant disregard for the culture of a people or a member nation of the UN and cause severe distress in said societies.
THEREFORE declaring that on some issues United Nations members have the right to abstain from following a law passed by the UN if it meets the following criteria:
If the law is culturally contradictory
If it infringes on the rights of the people as declared in the laws of a member nation
If it puts undue pressure on the members of any minority or majority to (within reason) change their way of life in a significant fashion
If they, for some reason, contradict previously passed law
If they contradict the will of the people AS DEMONSTRATED IN A FAIR ELECTION.
