OOC: Y'know, it's common courtesy to include the text of the proposal in your post. Unlike others, I'm not nice enough to do it for you.

And uh...lemme guess...got stuck sitting next to a fat guy on the flight back from Thanksgiving weekend with your parents?

A link or a copy of the proposal usually helps.

Here's the link:

Is this a serious proposal? The two reasons given to justify it make little sense.

We commend the representatives of Ohshid on their efforts, and wish them well in future endeavours, but in this particular case: No.

Maybe it should be more obvious that it's a joke, because... you are joking, right?

OK, before I really go into this proposal I should point out the really major faux pas in the proposal: Real World references, or even external links, are a big no no. The resolution, as written, is illegal for this alone.

Going into the proposal, I would like to bring up the movie the “Fifth Element” where the blue skinned opera singer, although clearly not in any way obese clearly was able to conceal a significant something. Granted this was not a weapon, but it could have been. Therefore the premise for the resolution is faulty. It’s not exactly bad science, God’s not going to kill a cat girl because of it, but it’s faulty.

It’s not a good resolution. It’s not even good enough for a joke resolution. This resolution is a domestic turkey! Shoot it, stuff it, and carve it up for leftovers.

While we're at it, we might as well just ban obesity altogether.

No, my fellow nations, the true cause of obesity is the food, ban all food!

*scowling at my notes...*

My clerk said this was important...

*jots down note, and whispers to aide: "Remind me to fire Arnold for this, please?"*
