Tell me, why does the following resolution still exsist?

UNITED NATIONS RESOLUTION #18

Description: We, the people of Kibombwe, propose that every nation should start developing hydrogen powered cars. We have polluted the air for too long -- it needs to stop. By passing this resolution we will be able to accompish these three things.

1. Less acid rain. Acid rain a problem that we feel should be stopped. It is especially a problem in the Northeast corner of the U.S.A. The Northeast is a place rich in historical buildings which acid rain damages. We passed a "PROTECT HISTORICAL SITES." This would only furthermore protect historical sites.

2. We wouldn't have to use as much oil. Oil is a nonrenewable resource that we only have so much of. By passing this resolution we would only prolong the time that we have oil on earth.

3. We would have cleaner air. Does anyone remember the days when "fresh air" was actually fresh? When it was a pure thing, without chemicals and other junk mixing in the air. With cleaner air, everyone would live longer, happier lives.

I hope that anyone and everyone who reads this agrees with us. PLEASE MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE!!!

It bears no reason to how this will be accomplished. It basically states what the positive influences for it is. I myself, having not the amount of people to join the UN, I cannot make a repeal for it. I ask somebody else then, tho repeal this for me.

But yeah, it should make an effort.

No, they don't. Where resolutions don't define terms, nations interpret them. Gnomes are simply there to enforce mandatory provisions.

Because no one's managed to repeal it yet.

To Clustian: I do not have enough people yet to join the UN. I have 1/100th of what I need. I was just reading over the reports.

To Others: Scince it is vauge and does not tell of any enforced laws that have to be made, why don't you get your delegate to repeal it? It's a meaningless document.

Now of course, if somebody wants to make another one, I'm fine with that. I just want to make sure that it mentions something about 3rd world countries, how this is going to be accomplished, and possibly a time goal? With those, the proposal might actually make sense.

There is no population requirement to join the UN. A tiny nation of 5 million can join. Maybe you're confusing it with the 500 million population requirement to submit your own daily issues.
