Copyleft is a form of protecting your work without a full copyright or the lawlessness of the public domain. This resolution seeks to establish
(1) The legality of copyleft liscenses in all UN member states
(2) a set of UN-mandated copyleft lisences:
(2a) The UN Copyleft Attribution liscense, requiring only the creator's name to be given
(2b) The UN Copyleft Noncommercial liscense, requiring that the work be used for non-commercial purposes
(2c) The UN Copyleft Sampling liscense, allowing deriative works to only use a predefined amount of the original work, made for audio, video, and text.

Since all of these licenses are allowed under #163, UN Copyright Convention, this is not really necessary, and probably illegal for duplication of UNCC.

Ah, I found no results for "Copyleft". Consider the legislation abandoned.

First, we'd like to welcome the representative(s) of Ross Port to the Assembly. The distinguished author of the "UN Copyright Convention" is, of course, quite correct. The resolution permits all sorts of standardized licensing schemes to be used.

The representative(s) might be interested in checking out the Index_of_UN_Resolutions (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Index_of_UN_Resolutions) on NSWiki. It's a topical index of passed resolutions and a great tool for prospective authors of proposals.
