I would like to call your attenetion to a proposed resolution to Repeal Resolution #6. Please show your support and bring this issue to a vote. The Resolution reads as such:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: UN Resolution #6: End slavery (Category: Human Rights; Strength: Significant) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument: The Republic of Lonestar Mountain does not disagree with this resolution. However, we feel that the importance of having any resolution being presented to the world in the proper format is vitally important. We recognize that this document was written by a singular member, however having the phrase, "I propose" in the resolution needs to be addressed. Along with that note, the resolution should be written with introduction and operative clauses. Many times, the process is more important than the end result.

The Republic of Lonestar Mountain proposes that this document be repealed with the promise that it will be re-written to not only present the document in the proper format, but to be more inclusive and address more important issues in this topic.

Your support is appreciated.

Resolution #6 reads as such:

Description: The scourge of slavery yet remains in these progressive times. People are bought and sold like cattle, unable to determine their destiny. Their families are split apart; they are allowed no possessions of their own. They are beaten, chained, and tortured.

Therefore, I propose that the following human rights be given to every peoples of this great world:

- The right to leave her or his job, given two weeks' notice.
- The right to own possessions.
- The right to travel freely throughout their country.
- The right to bodily safety from one's employer.
- The outlawing of the selling or purchasing of people.

Point out it never actually bans slavery. It does things that make it slightly more difficult to own someone else, but it doesn't actually ban slavery.

I tried. I tried so hard to do this, thus I hope you all the luck, but your repeal needs work...first off "Formatting" arguments are void, and sometimes grounds for deletion. Second, like Forgottenlands said you should point out how End Slavery doens't really ban slavery, nor prevent the slave trade (people can still be bartered, traded, and given if not sod) and that #6 also fails to try and prevent UN nations from abusing slavery in non-UN nations.

As are Branding violations. Pity there's not an Irony violation, as this one fully qualified.

The UN resolution has been deleted for rhetoric reasons. What the moderators failed to notice was that the reason why I wanted to repeal the resolution was because it did not address the issue. The fact that it said nothing on an issue which needs an in-depth look. But the moderators get their jollies. Congrats.

Considering a moderator confirmed it to be illegal right on these very boards, I'm afraid your cry for "abuse of powers" won't suffice.

While you may have wanted to note its failure to address the issue, you actually didn't, not to mention you had several other issues with it that were mentioned by others on this thread.
