"We must outlaw these violent games immediately!" shouts Catherine Gratwick, a member of Mothers Ordered Against Nastiness, "These so-called 'games' are desensitising our children to violence and making them more aggressive. Why, just the other day I witnessed my son firing a missile launcher in a videogame and the next day he went out and robbed a bank! He may be thirty-five, but you can't possibly say it's a coincidence!"
(OOC: from the issue 'Video Games Too Violent, Say Parents', as it appeared to 'The IMO' today... ;-)

We will be representing both Ms Gratwick and her son in the criminal case to follow. We are confident that Master Gratwick will be exonerated and his mother's reputation untainted by the statement falsely attributed to her.

Doesn't the young chap have Diplomatic Immunity? How very remiss of Mrs Gratwick not to bestow it upon him

OOC: How does Cobdenia deal with "video games"? Do Cobdenian children play "Grand Theft Penny-Farthing" on their zoetropes?

OoC: The nearest thing we have is playing football with a roll of 35mm film...

OOC: The latter. Catherine Gratwick is RPed by some as being the Secretary General. She is also one of the few appearances of a hard-coded name, as opposed to permutations of the @@RANDONNAME@@ variable, in the daily issues. She's also in a gun one, as president of the Household Defence Alliance or something.
